I HAVE A LIST OF POSSIBLE P4P FUTURE PROSPECTS SEING THAT HOPKINS WILL HAVE TO VACATE PRETTY SOON.
LET ME KNOW YOU LIST

Marg- If he beats cotto
Pavlik- I currently rate him up there with Hatton
DLH- If he beats mayweather
Haye- Depending on HW career
Arthur Abraham
Christian Mijares
135 Pound division is too competitive I dont see anyone having the edge

With 'future prospects' in the title, little was I expecting to see mention of Oscar De La Hoya in the first post...

yuriorkis gamboa

edison miranda

andre berto

all of those fighters have a lot of potential but none of them have beaten an opponent that translates to a P4P spot. And none of them own have really made enough waves in their divisions to justify a top 10 spot.

If mijares beats munoz then he definitely deserves a lot more recognition but i still think calderon is overdue

gamboa should get a big fight later this year with the way he going and i cant see him losing.

edison miranda is a caged animal waiting to be unleashed at 168 and i think he will beat abraham then he will take care of pavlik.

berto is moving up nicely and i expect him to get a fight against quintana after he beats williams and another victory later this year aginst cintron would get him in to top ten.

if all these fighters do what i think they will then they are p4p fighters.

Berto and Miranda won't make a future p4p list - those divisions they are fighting in are far too deep talent-/skillwise.

Hope someone has mentioned Rafael Marquez and Israel Vasquez...Those two are a sure lock for P4P...There can't be anything better out there than these two. They are thye mordern Barrera-Morales of this generation.

Nonito Donaire is also a good look. The kid's on his way.Mijares IMO is ms def ainside the Top10.This boy is bad.

many people have abraham in their future p4p list, so if miranda beats abraham (which i think he will) then he must replace abraham. and its not that star studded. theirs pascal and jt, pavlik might leave 160 but that is about it.

i have no doubt that berto will be a world champ at the end of the year. he will probably fight quintana for his title and then margo probably vacates his title for cotto so then he may have to face cintron and i think he has the skill to beat cintron.

i dont disagree that thses fighters have a lot of potential especially Gamboa who i think we'll see big things from but i don't think any of them deserve that spot yet. In comparison Ivan Calderon has destroyed both the strawweight and junior flyweight divisions and is really the biggest name in both.

If Miranda beats Abraham, all it does is make us rightly laugh at these people who you say have Abraham as a future P4P fighter.

Nor does beating Quintana and Cintron make a P4P fighter.

I love Kirkland, but he'll never be a P4P fighter. He may win a belt at some point if he gets lucky, but I suspect he'll lose to Ermoselle Albert next month, unless Albert just can't handle pressure that well.
