Spadafora's legal woes continue!!

EDINBORO -- Pittsburgh boxer Paul Spadafora, who scored a victory in the ring in Erie on Friday, was charged with violating a protection-from-abuse order today at a motel in Edinboro.

Edinboro police accused Spadafora, 32, of being in the same motel room with his former fiancee, Nadine Russo, whom he once shot and who obtained a PFA against him in Erie County Court in June.

Russo's PFA is effective until June 2010, and prohibits Spadafora from having any communication with Russo, according to the affidavit of probable cause filed today.

Edinboro Patrolman Todd Eaglen said in the affidavit that he found Spadafora with Russo at the Edinboro Inn, 410 W. Plum St. He said he was called to the motel to recover a stolen vehicle police said was in Russo's possession.

Spadafora is free on an unsecured bond of $2,500.

Spadafora, a former International Boxing Federation world lightweight champion, fought at the Avalon Hotel Friday in his first bout in more than a year.

Spadafora, known as the "Pittsburgh Kid," defeated welterweight Shad Howard in a unanimous decision.

Spadafora was out of boxing while he served a 13-month prison term for the October 2003 shooting of Russo. Last summer, Spadafora found himself back in prison because of a parole violation over the Russo shooting. Also, in June, Russo got the PFA against Spadafora after Spadafora failed to get one against her.

Spadafora was released in August after more than two months at the state prison in Albion over the parole violation.

Thought ud retired, how good is Spaddy, hes not P4P level but he wasnt a bad belt holder, and no offense but he has being operating at a higher level, its harder to look as impressive at that level.

I defending the fact THAT THE JUDGE HAS ALSO TOLD HER!! Its not just him. She went to Erie after him, picked him, went 2 Hotel. I've said it from the beginning they have a kid together and OBVIOUSLY Love(though its certainly strange) each other.She plays a role and he's the one who takes a public beating while there is no consideration for her role. She has been told by a judge twice since the shooting but she PERSISTS. Women always have their way of impacting mens lives.

I am a Pittsburgher and am a Spadafora fan. But after this latest incident, enough is enough. He has already been in jail for shooting his gf and has gone back to jail for violating conditions of his parole. When you have a court order to stay away from someone, you stay away from then, period point blank. Especially if you are someone like Spaddy with a history and being on probation, etc. Also, if the person you are ordered to stay away from comes to you, then you turn and run the hell away!!! I know kids are involved, but then set up court ordered visitations and that is what you stick too. I know that isn't optimal, but when you are in Spaddy's situation you can't take any chances and you have to stay squeaky clean.

I understand that Nadine Russo is no angel either. She is a trash , into drugs, etc.etc. But Paul is a grown man. He willingly got into the drug scene and every dumb decision he has made is completely on him and is his fault. I have given him a pass on a lot of stuff and continued to support him and wish for him to get his life together and make a career comeback. But after this most recent incident, I am starting to think he is a lost cause and is just another moron and piece of trash that has wasted his life and talent.
