Come off it... Castillo is old but he is still top class. Khan has never proved his ability against anyone remotley close to the ability of current Castillo.

People seem to think Castillo is totally shot, but I don't think he is. He's fighting the resuls of a long time of cutting weight the wrong way. However, as he showed against Ngoudjo he can still go. To put that win in perspective, Castillo did better against Ngoudjo than Malignaggi did. And if that wasn't enough, Malignaggi should have had more of an advantage over Ngoudjo than Castilllo.

Prime Castillo? Castillo KO3
Current Castillo? Castillo KO10

The current Castillo is struggling to make Light Middle never mind Lightweight so that fight will not happen unless at a stupid catchweight. The Prime Castillo KO's Khan in under three rounds.

Prime Castillo takes this one easy, in my opinion. KO early.

Castillo nowadays....never mind the fact that he is the very definition of a "shot fighter", he can't even make the weight any longer. Khan would take this by stoppage in the middle rounds, even at a higher catch-weight.

I agree to a certain extent.

Castillo was losing the fight against Hatton, but the rounds were hardly 10-8's, after 3 it was probably 30-28, or perhaps 29-28 in favour of Hatton.

Also, he was hardly up for the Ngoudjo fight, looked totally disinterested for me.

well you cant compare a prime castillo to someone that ius not in there prime

Too consistent, too relentless, too methodical, just too much. Khan will start fast, Castillo will walk him down, get in on him, start beating/breaking him up to head and body. The longer the fight goes the more he pours it on.

Khan ain't show nothing to suggest he has what it takes to hang with Jose.

castillos shot...... and he was never that good to start off with.He cant hit that hard, he has no effect on fighters with his petty punches. Khans a better fighter.

castillos acheived more but it dont mean hes better. Khan would beat him. Khan hasnt got a glass jaw so i cant see castillo hurting khan with his punches, hes not a big puncher..

LOL, when I read Baileys posts I always think of the 'man in the street'. If you ask 'Joe Public' about Khan v Castillo you would get the same response.

Have you ever seen a prime Castillo fight??? This is a guy who took Floyd to two razor thin decisions (many profess that he won the first fight). He also split a couple with a prime Chico, beat a brilliant Stevie Johnson, beat a good Cesar Bazan, beat a skilled Julio Diaz, bruttalized a good Lazcano, and beat a pretty prime Casamayor. And back in the day the guy could punch with real power, not one punch KO power, but wear-you-down stuff (Casamayor was dead on his feet the last three rounds against Castillo after the punches he had taken, and Lazcano was a freakin mess, never mind the one-punch KO of Chico in the second fight - albeit with the added weight). Many of his early losses were to lesser fighters, and via cuts-stoppage. Despite the superhuman Corales comeback he was near impossible to stop by either one-punch or multi-punch KO (granite-like chin). If he had have fought in the 15 round era he would have taken a lot of elite opponents out late. The guy was a very good fighter.

Haha...I would never rule out anything with the Clones Cyclone.

I honestly cannot believe ANYONE has voted for Khan.

Castillo will walk him down in 4 rounds MAX.

And to people who think Khan would stop him, remeber he has been in with Corrales!!

Or are we not overating Khan:huh

Put it this way in my eyes Khan has to actually beat a legitimate Live opponent before he even gets mentioned about having the slightest chance of beating Castillo....Shot or prime

Well, thats a witty retort:-((

Why don't you go back and have toy fights with your Megatron and Optimus Prime figures. Leave the boxing stuff to the rest of us.

By the way, how many fuckin donkeys have you seen that look like that.

I don't know what that is supposed to mean.

But anyway, your knowledge of the game is sadly lacking. There are certain areas of boxing which I don't know too well, but this forum is a great place to patch up the holes. I speak my mind when I know I am on good ground; when i know the shit that is being talked about. In other threads I look and I learn. Why don't you do the same thing?

Surely the fight would have to be at 154 so Castillo can actually make weight this time.
