fighting Froch.
3 noteable fights for Rubin are
Losses to Allen Green ( UD 10 )
Jeff Lacy ( TKO 7 )
Andre Ward ( TKO 7 )
Otherwise, he;s done okay

Rubin Williams is a decent boxer, but there's only going to be one winner and it won't be Mr Williams. I suppose he'll be well rewarded for making the trip.

There's a few rounds of him there.

I'll start and be perfectly honest. I don't rate Froch at world level. In fact I think the guy is a fookin asshole. His bark is much much louder than his incredibly annoying bite!!
He has a fair amount of power but zero defence.
Williams doesn't sound like much of a threat though :(
Just guess i'll have to wait for a while before I finally see someone shut his stupid mouth up!

Rubin Williams has looked like absolute garbage in his last couple of fights.

And this is considered an eliminator? Fuck me gently. At least get Brahmer or someone of that callibre.

No way this is an eliminator. Williams is not even ranked in the top40 of the WBC.

No one good would take a fight like that with 1-2 weeks notice.

So reschedule.

Watch Froch win and start his chants about being better than Calzaghe and how Calzaghe ducks him again.

The Inkin fight was already rescheduled. Froch needs a stay busy fight now and the bill needs to take place (which also includes Witter against Bradley on the undercard).

Froch must be quite frustrated. Twice was he scheduled to face Inkin in an eliminator fight, and twice did he train in vain for Inkin.

Of course I would have prefered watching Froch vs Inkin to Froch vs Rubin, but Froch cant wait for Inkin for ages!

I like Rubin, who is a pretty nice guy, but he has looked very bad in his last two fights. He hasn't looked to be at the top of his game in a long time. I haven't seen Froch fight before, but if he is good, he should not struggle with this version of Rubin.

for americans who have not seen froch.

he is about 6.1
wiry build
bit lazy
fights with his hands down by his waist
fights in spurts
good chin

one thing that stands out

he has huge single punch power from either hand and from a lot of punchs.

favourite is the uppercut of late.

Thanks for the scouting report. Having never seen him fight, I had no idea about his style or skills.

Williams is completely shot at this point. He has no handspeed or power left.
