Who do you take?

The obvious form line is McClellan but Jackson was shot when he lost to the G Man. I think I'd still take Benn based pretty much soley on size.

Benn TKO.

How do you predict a fight like this? Whoever lands first.
But I'd probably take Benn, being as he was often at his most dangerous when hurt, and if Jackson did hit him first, he'd have a good chance of hurting Jackson right back off the ropes or wherever.

This fight ain't gonna last too long.

jackson's chin = :-(What then, do you think of someone who gets stopped by a stiff jab as Benn did against Watson?

There was an element of fatigue (to say the least) in that stoppage.

It says that Watson got to Benn in the fourth round, doing some major work - to the point that Benn was defensive in the fifth, right before he got thumbed to start the 6th and was put down (after several shots) with a jab.

Either way, he was very clearly, and badly, rocked by that straight jab.
It rocked him because of fatigue and the punishment he'd took previously. You really think that jab would have rocked him earlier in the fight? Its just attrition. The right hand that Ali dropped Foreman with in the 8th wouldn't have done the job in the 1st.

A fight that could go either way based on their chins and instant KO power. If I had to chose, I'd go with Benn, somewhere in the first 5 rounds.

Can anyone remember any of Benn's title fights that he didn't get hurt in? They're weren't many. I take Jackson early and I think he hit harder and maybe a tad tougher chin.

benn was better defencively than most peopel give him for. a smart benn could outbox jackson.
in the first 3 rounds i's a pick em most prolly for benn though. far more aggresive and could walk you into a hook or cross

Benn's chin wasn't made of concrete either by the way...but I'd still opt for him to win in a classic slugfest.
Jackson wasn't the best boxer or quickest thinker, but man, what power!
He'd be dangerous on the way down.
Still, Benn is bigger, meaner and could box when he had to. I think he stops Jackson in the middle rounds.

Jackson was a huge puncher, however, he was being schooled by Herol Graham for most of the fight before he connected with the big one. Graham had limited power, Benn would hit Jackson with punches he'd only had nightmares about.
