1500 tickets. I guess Vitaly even after almost 3 years off is still a draw.

Other news, Peter will most likely fight for the interim title no mention of opponent but possibly Virchis or McCall, with the winner facing Maskaev. The split will be according to the WBC rules for that fight.

Vitaly would have sold an arena with a capicity of 15,000 within a few hours.
He is a superstar in Germany.
I have no doubt that Kiev's central soccer stadium with a capacity of 100,000 would be sold out within hours if he fought Virchis,Dimitrenko,or Bidenko there.

By the way, as a kid I've been to that stadium in Kiev several times watching my favorite team then - Dynamo Kiev, what an amazing atmosphere it was.

So Maskaev's going to fight no one? How does that make sense? Is he building a matchstick replica of his built that he needs time to finish? or does the WBC just suck nowadays?

I am not sure, what Maskaev will do in the mean time but it is an iteresting point. Can he fight for a unification fight with Vladimir?

According to the interview, the only thing WBC rep. said about Maskaev was that he will absolutely have to fight the interim champ, otherwise will be stripped.

How long ago was it that he won the belt against Rahman - it feels like it was over a year ago.

This is strange that Maskaev can avoid the mandatory, and retain his title, then fight the winner of this eliminator fight. Very strange.

But maybe the WBC sees the inability to make a fair agreement on the Peter Oleg fight, as the reasoning for Oleg sitting aside while Peter fights someone else, first.

If Peter does fight Virchis first, that'd maybe be his last go round in this WBC fiasco, cause Virchis just may beat Peter. Great matchup of two very similar fighters.

Peter McCall would also be good, as well.

How on earth can they justify it being an interim fight when maskaev just plain and simple refuses to fight for no good reason. Basically Peter is fighting his 3rd eliminater for a tritle shot lol. He should just tell them to get stuffed and go challenge wlad, id bet wlad would still fight old sanders instead even if peter was available.

So Peter will instead of giving maskaev his due split, and win the fight and make more money after that ,if he wins the belt .will let this chance go and fight for an interm title in which he may loose? this whole thing is a fukin joke
Peter's management better fix this or they will fuck him over for another year.
