Shogun is now fighting Forrest Griffin at UFC 76, not Machida. Poor Forrest.

WTF?
UFC 76 has gone from being one of the best cards in ufc history to one of the least interesting.
Liddell vs Jardine
Shogun vs Forrest
I suppose this is good buisness as its putting Shogun against a popular and well known name but as a fan of MMA I would liked to have seen him against a better opponent.
Sucks.

Liddel vs Jardine, nor this bout, we're ever confirmed. It could very well be possible that we will see Liddel vs Machida, which would be incredibly interesting to me. And come on, Shogun vs Forrest will be a barn burner.

That sucks. I was really interested in seeing Machida vs Shogun.
If Machida is out, then they should make it Liddell vs Shogun, and Forrest vs Jardine II.

Marketing nightmare.
UFC wants to build up Shogun as a future money maker and want their poster boy (chuck) to win big to have another match for the title.
putting Shogun vs Liddell would be a lose lose situation for the UFC whoever won that fight.

That sucks, although it will make for a better highlight reel.

I doubt this is official.
Once its on the the ufc website i will believe it.
I hope it's true. It's a perfect fight for Shogun, really. He can't lose, and he will topple the "great" Forrest. TUF fans will go, "Ooooh, Shogun is awesome because he beat Forrest, who won that epic war with the American Pyscho! Yeah!"
I'm glad Forrest is getting fed to the sharks. I've had enough of him.

Agreed. But both fighters say they have been offered this fight and will accept, so I feel safe in specualting on how sweet it will to see Shogun land a flying punch down through Forrest's gaurd and kill him.

And come on, Shogun vs Forrest will be a barn burner. No it wont.It will be a one sided beat down.Shogun is arguably the best light heavy on the planet. He is a true all rounder.Forrest is a pub drunk/ bar brawler on his best day.Shogun by brutal annhilation.

Shogun is a beast but he'll never fight Silva.

Silva already beat Jackson twice!
Not to mention Shogun and Silva are best friends who train in the same academy.

Oh.
Yes, I do too. Henderson is good but he is a naturally smaller man and getting quite old now (37) I think Rampage takes that fight. I think Shogun gets the winner of Hendo/Rampage.
I reckon Shogun would beat Rampage for a second time, he's improved alot on the ground,he has much faster handspeed than Jackson and I don't think Rampage has an answer to those knees.
I also think Shogun would beat Chuck, as Chuck is becoming slower and sloppier each time we see him. He too is 37.
I see maybe Sokodjou being a threat and possibly Manhoef.
Apart from them two, I don't know who could knock SHogun off from being Champion.

Oh, the only thing I will say is that I am pretty sure Shogun came in weighing more than Coleman for their fight.
But of course, that doesn't stop the loss from being a complete freak accident and a fluke for Coleman.

Shogun did repeatedly post a single arm to try and stop a takedown, its gonna break sooner or later if you keep doing that. His left one almost broke on the slam from guard earlier in the match.

Silva had also beaten CroCop and Henderson before but look what happened in the past year he was put in the hosiptal when he woke up. Silva needs to retire soon to avoid being put to sleep agian this time vs Liddell. However Silva does want to fuck Chuck so it could be a crazy fight.
