Im browsing through boxrec looking at the career record of fighters and ended up Azumah page and i see he has a scheduled fight against none other than Jeff French. Am I late or is news to you guys also?

I got both fights on tape, the first was pretty close if I remember correctly and I think ended in a draw or something, while the other was clearly dominated by Nelson, which ended in a knockout. Nelson was a great fighter during the late 80s and early 90's, but his time has long gone, but if he needs money, I guess a against Fenech aint a bad idea.

neither guy appears to need money which concerns me...Azumah pulled a sly one before the contract signing saying he hadnt been training in years. Contract get signatures on it and info surfaces that he had been training for something like 6 months suspecting this would come about.

I think he knocks Fenech out and i used to love the old fenech.....

the first fight wasnt close mate, fenech took nelson to school and got robbed in what will always be remembered as one of the worst decisions in history.:good

It is sad that two men who are firmly in my memory as warriors may return as shadows of thier former selves..

Yep. Boxing is a young man's game.niether are young so it wont be that big a difference

fenech has always been in goood shape. if you look at him training the guy has a fat head and neck...but his body is skinny as hell.

azumah has kinda disappeared of th map. but form a pic 2 years ago he was pretty lean for an old guy.

this is more of an exibition than a pro fight and it's more of the fact that both men wanted a 3rd fight but never got it.

Azumah Nelson seemed to be on every undercard once upon a time, and he usually dominated.

But he's got to be way past it by now. Fenech too. Sad really.

This shouldn't be happening, he should stay retired
