Joe Louis and Muhammad Ali were pretty good.

Antonio "Magic Man" Tarver.

He's gets no respect. He looked renewed in the Woods fight. I saw the extra snap and quickness in his punches and movement that i hadn't seen since his fights with RJJ. And that Tarver is tough for anyone.

Good list, half of the guys you named I barely even heard of, alot of lower weight guys I could see.

I think Eddie Chambers is pretty good, strong, fast jab, good overall skill level, could give a couple top notch Heavyweights a tough fight.

Jack Dempsey really knocked the shit out of some people.

Clottey always seems to end up on these underrated lists, but to tell you the truth I think he's actually overrated by many. The guy fades late in fights and he often seems to fight down to his level of opposition. Don't get me wrong, I think he's a good world class fighter and all, but I just think some of the top welters out there would beat him and beat him quite easily as oppose to other fans who seem to think he'd give anybody trouble. Cotto, Mayweather, and Paul Williams are guys who I think would bring great stylistic nightmares for Clottey and would beat him quite handily... and Caballero's stock has really gone down since the Lacierva fight.

Williams :bart I think it's the other way around. He gives top WW problems :yep

It depends on "underrated by who?", but I think Calderon doesn't get enough credit. Too bad he's past his prime now....

:thumbsup Excellent choice. Everyone sleeps on this guy. I love watching him fight.

One more person mentions Clottey and I'm gonna throw up. This guy has been steadily overrated since his loss to Margo.

i don't know about calderon, i thought a lot of people have him in their top 10 p4p list, i rank him 11 or 12 though p4p.

Yeh he is 10-15 on a lot of lists but he is underrated in the sense that most people don't even know about him, or have seen him fight

Librado Andrade
James Kirkland
Jhonny Gonzalez
Silence Mabuza
Fernando Montiel

I enjoy watching all of these guys fight, they always give a good effort and can beat anyone on any given night in their respective weight classes. Well all of them except Kirkland solely because we haven't seen him in against high caliber opposition yet. But I will say that more than likely his power will always give him a decent chance of winning against anyone.

i don't think those fighters you mentioned are underrated. Kirkland is still a prospect, tune on him saturday with his first big test against albert

JC Gomez. when he's not snorting the Devil's Dandruff, he's a very skilled boxer. former cw champ who clowned Mccall. hopefully Gomez/Virchis comes off this century.

I also think that Malignaggi is underrated. He is an excellent boxer with a top notch jab that gets no love simply because he is a guido

Glen Johnson might be slightly underrated too. He is a gym rat and always comes ready to fight

Definately Clottey. He does seem to get hurt during fights and fade, however when at full health could box and bang with the best of them. Wickedly fast straight right when he throws the damn thing.

Kendall Holt I feel is underrated...but it may just be because noone talks about him here.

Randall Bailey USED to be overrated back when he was worth a damn as a fighter.

I think a lot of people underrate Bruno.

Trouble is - he did most of his best work in the gym, in front of his trainer and a couple of old blokes in the corner. He didn't like being on the big stage, and also had zero ring savvy!

He was a good heavyweight - but that is all for me. Probably in the top 5 Brit heavies, alongside Lennox, Cooper, Bugner and AN Other.

Yutaka Nida is the longest reigning alphabet champion in the sport, probably the second best 105 pounder of all time, but I NEVER seen a thread about him. That's the definition of underrated.

Hasim Rahman also.

Bruno's power was sick. stypidly high KO percentage. One of the highest in HW history i think?

Joachim Alcine fullstop

30-0, wasn't even on top of his game and still beat Travis Simms handily, fighting Santos in July

The only fighters that i really see giving him trouble at 154 are Santos, Dzinziruk, and Spinks, but i think he would beat them all

Oh and Steve Molitor. This guy can beat anyone in the division including Vasquez, Marquez, De Leon, and Cabellero. Print it.
