I think gamboa is the more naturally talented fighter and would be better then him when he reaches his prime. anyone else agree?

1. I don't think that Gamboa is nesscerally more talented than Floyd. He is just more attack minded.
2. I doubt he will acheive what Mayweather has, considering the fact he has a more limited time frame to do it in.

i don't wanna say he will, because odds are he won't. But i think he has the potential.

The guy has to show some defence. He has some major balls going in with such a low guard, sooner or later he will get decked if he keeps it up. I like Gamboa a lot but i hate that he is so confident in his speed. When he starts faceing the A-listers i hope he will keep his guard up.
Floyd has accomplished a shit load. Gamboa is a bit too old, but who knows.

I don't think this is a topic that should be up for discussion at this stage.
Gamboa looks like an excellent prospect, but it is way too early to start talking about him becoming better than Mayweather.

1. I think Gamboa is more talented than Floyd.
.
Why?
I dont think he has faster hands, not much more power, not better reflex's, not better footwork, not more accurate.
He does have faster feet.
If Mayweather went in to take guy's out he would have looked as impressive as Gamboa.

Absolutely 0 chance...the guy must be crazy who started this thread,
Gamboa is almost 28, you wont see anymore improvement.
Mayweather was 21 when he butchered the then no:1 Genaro Hernadez,Manfredy Corralles.
I would also say Naseem Hamed was far more spectactular in his "prospect " days than this Cuban.
Gamboa is 5"5 wont carry the weight through the divisions. Edwin Valero is the same age and deserves more hype.

I say no, but granted it is early days indeed. He looks great but he also gets tagged a fair bit. He does not look to have the defensive skills of Mayweather but has more power.
To me Mayweather on song is pretty much complete, his defence is incredible, his speed and footwork are brilliant, he is a fantastic combination puncher and he fights well on the inside and is strong and clever too.
Gamboa looks more of a destroyer in the making but even at this stage he is taking shots as he goes in and gets caught by poor fighters because he doesn't cover up much and doesn't move his head a great deal.
But as I said, time will tell it is early yet. I would have to go back and watch PBF in his first 8 pro fights to give a fairer assessment.

I think his career will be like that of J. Guzman, 0 loses, in his 30's and still not top p4p. Who knows.

Gamboa certainly thinks he has a good chance:
Yuriorkis Gamboa, in a recent interview: "I find it impressive and yet surprising that Pacquiao has been mentioned as one of the best fighters for such a long time. I studied him and the only thing he really has is punching power. We’d have to both get in the ring so you can see the difference. But when it comes to boxing ability and strategy, I really didn’t see much. He’s very combative. But Pacquiao isn’t really a quality fighter. Aside from his willingness to fight I have to say he’s nothing special."
Make of that what you will.

Potential? Yes, as i heard his raw talents are out of this world.
Will it happen? Well, only if he maxmizes his talents the right way. Heck, look at Judah. Based on his raw talents, he should've been a P4P king. But look where he's at.

He's very talented, but we'll just have to sit back and watch his career

1. I think Gamboa is more talented than Floyd.
2. I agree completely.More talented than even the 130 pound Floyd?
I love Gamboa, and strongly dislike Floyd, but let's not sell a young Floyd short here. You're basically saying that right now Gamboa is going to be the best ever in the 130 pound division, provided he stays there for a while.

Talk about getting ahead of yourself. There have been can't miss prospects before that well...missed. Gamboa is a tremendous talent but let's see how things play out before we even mention his name in the same sentence as Floyd.

the way I see it is floyd having better skills (so far) but gamboa being the more naturally talented fighter like roy jones.

I think gamboa is a better athlete like Roy was i.e why he relies on his reflexes, movement, and speed to dominate like Roy....just god given talent.
Floyd uses many tactics and his defense is a combination of reflexes, movement, speed and nullifying shots by his philly shell and shoulder roll. Boxing talent floyd has him beat period because at 28 i dont think he will attempt to learn a complete defense....and like i said when father time catches up and things slow down and competition steps up im not sure he can depend on just those attributes i mean look at Roy nothing like what he used to be...a damn freak in the ring....as he got older and competition got a little better he gets hit flush a lot more.
Judah is a good example however i dont think he has slowed its just competition he faced were better boxers and that includes mentally...Zu nailed him with a time shot while zab had his hands down trying to just dodge the shot, Cotto mauled him, and floyd out boxed him....and like someone said Zab talent wise is a monster but better competition means u need to do more than rely on your natural god given athletism

No...
Not that he can't do GREAT things because he's already 26 - he's very close to a title shot - but dominating for a decade like Floyd did, winning in 5 divisions etc. is impossible IMO...
