Who has Margarito fought to be mentioned in the same sentence with Hearns?:think
Hearns will use his footspeed and handspeed to control Margarito from the outside. As the slow Margarito tries to get up-close, Hearns will blast him with lightning quick combos and quickly move away. Hearns ate slow-handed, plodders like Margarito for breakfast.
If Clottey can easily control Margarito from the outside, Tony stands no chance against the greatest long-range puncher ever. Margarito may have a good chin, but you can only absorb so-many right hand bombs from Hearns.
Hearns TKO5 after a brutal beatdown.

Hearns had enough power to ko the iron chinned Roberto Duran with one punch. Hearns at Welter was an overwhelming force and would have beaten almost anyone in history at that weight not nicknamed Sugar Ray, and even gave SRL a rough night. He would annihilate Margarito in one or two rounds. Not even a contest. Margarito has the perfect style for Hearns. Cotto would not have lasted any longer.

I don't know about Hearns knocking Marf out but Hearns could dance circles around him. That being said Marg hits hard enough to be able to land a lucky shot and TKO Hearns who we know does not have the best chin. Marg only has a small Punchers chance but the outcome should be obvious. Hearns just too skilled for Marg.

Leonard hit Hearns with some massive shots and didn't stop him with them. Margo does not:
1. Have the ability to hit Hearns with well anything of note.
2. Have the power to take him out.

Hearns has so many options against this guy it makes no sense ... he could KO him with the jab or KO him with the right hand ... Hearns was very good at throwing straight punches and Margarito has shown that he can't avoid a straight punch.
Hearns was 100x faster than Margarito ...
I see this fight being short ... Hearns KO's him within 5 rounds.

Nobody with a defense like Margarito's is going to last long against Hearns.
I'm not sure why people are so sure Margarito would last the distance, sounds absurd to me. Sure, he has a solid chin, but given his defence he'd need something inhuman to not get KTFO by the mid rounds here

I know why some are picking him to go the distance. These are the very types of fighters Hearns had trouble with. Even fighters far lesser than himself for some reason could trouble him with this swarming style. That's not to say I agree, and Margarito gets hit too much to pull it off. But I see the thinking behind it.

Margarito has too much pride to survive, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say that maybe he lasts until the 5th round.
