On Hopkins vs Winky!!! BORING MY ASS. This is a true 50/50 fight with 2 of the best fighters in the game!!
:bbb :bbb :bbb :bbb
Hopkins is only boring when he fights bigger fighters than himself
actually to me he's never boring but to the shit commentators who downgrade fights on their own network, he is

Hopkins-De La Hoya was mediocre. Most of his fight with John David Jackson was boring.

Winky-Hopkins is a fight I've been waiting on for years and is besides PBF-Oscar the biggest fight of the year. Two top P4P boxers getting it on what more could you ask for as a fan of boxing?

Its a 50/50 fight because neither one of them take chances. It will be a defensive jab fest for 12 rounds. Kudo's to those who enjoy this kind've matchup, but i will pass.
If it's dull, it'll be probably more b/c of Hopkins.
At his age, he has to pick his spots a lot more and throw less. He's been like that since the 3rd Allen fight.
Winky still has a very good workrate.

Of all the big fights we've had this year (Pavlik-Miranda, Marquez-Marquez, etc) and all the great match-ups we have coming up (Taylor-Pavlik, Calzaghe-Kessler, etc) this one just doens't excite me that much...
It should be on FREE HBO!!!
It should be free but there are dumbasses willing to buy it so its not.
The fight shouldn't have even been made, if you ask me. I'd much rather watch either of them fight a young dangerous contender. These old "elites" fighting one another bullshit is getting old.

Im quite looking foward to this fight, I dont mind tactical fights aslong as there between two big names and when Floyd aint involved in them.

The only way this fight entertains is if the fight like Morales and Barrera in their first encounter ..Meet in the center of the ring and let their hands go..But since they are sooooooooooo technically sound it could be a snoozer .

Spot on. Both are very defensive and don't take chances. I might watch it, both won't lose any sleep if I miss it.

Totally agree. People paying money to watch two blokes feint all night.:huh Wow. I'll catch the replay too...well, I might. Actually I probably won't. I bet if it's a toe-to-toe punch up the Hopkins fans will say "Wow, it was amazing and best fight ever" etc etc. When beforehand they 'claim' they're hoping for a nice quiet chess game with no real action at all.

I do think that it will be a much better fight than most think but combined with the shit undercard there is no way in hell that they should be charging 60.00 for it. 40.00 would have been fair. I'll just see it for free next week
