because he is avoiding the sugar man like a plague,
first he challenges winky and when winky accepts he backs out
then he challenges shane and when shane wants him he dont want anything to do with shane.

why would you want to ruin two beautiful fighting specimens battling them against each other?
floyd doesnt have to do any more to prove he's the best around. he could, but he doesnt have to
anyways, i think floyd would rampage shane.. even though shane has looked really good as of late
floyd hasn't faced anyone as fast as shane, oscars jab gave floyd trouble imagine what shane could have done.
No matter how much you like or dislike Floyd no one can argue that he has to do more for his legacy than beat the Golden Boy to go from good to ATG

i never expected oscar to fight floyd, i thought he retired for good after the hopkins fight and i have always said ever since floyd moved up to light welter that shane is the guy that will beat him.
Toopretty
07-18-2007, 07:07 PM
Shane has a short reach and flicks his jab as a range finder. He does not throw a power jab to get floyd backing up.WHAT? Get out of here. Shane is a volume puncher/counter puncher. He throws flurries of arm punches and then slips a good hard one in if he sees an opening. His jab is bullshit. He paws with it. ODH has a power jab. And has the best jab out of everybody from 154-147 period.
Toopretty
07-18-2007, 07:10 PM
I think it is no walk in the park for floyd. But I got him bringing his A game and not getting hit by shane. Shane does not have a good str8 punch and tends to get wild. I will watch more of Shane. But the Collazo fight he looked real good and the second Winky fight. Aint nobody saying that Floyd would destroy Shane. But to say down right Shane would win is fucking ignorant. To me. That is one of those fights that you have to see. And would be a very even fight betting wise.
Diabetes maybe, diarrhea of the mouth definitately.

Yeah but Zabs also a scrub, and Shanes style is a more aggressive/ coming forward type style that DLH doesnt possess and didnt use as effectively as Shane would use it.

Shane looked good against collazo. But Collazo is a slow welterweight. He is solid but slow as shit. He has the slowest pace of any fighter I have ever seen WW on down. I just want to kick him through the screen to get it going

Shane hasn't been Sugar Shane for quite some time... honestly, most of his recent fights outside of beating up the overrated, shot, and out-of-shape Vargas have been snoozefests.
Shane ain't the Shane of old, and his speed these days is HIGHLY overrated.
I still see him fighting a close one with Floyd, but I think Floyd takes it.
I hope they make it, as legacy-wise Hatton hardly does shit for his resume as Shane Mosley would. Cotto does shit for Floyds resume as well, because if Floyd beats Cotto, then Cotto probably won't go down as an ATG, Cotto's loss to Floyd would tarnish his image... unlike Shane who has the resume in place, and you can't take that away.

Dont understand yall dudes, I remember after Floyd beat Oscar. Evry1 said that Hatton would destroy him. And he should fight Hatton etc. Now the man goes out and tries to make a fight with Hatton and you still bash him. Make up your minds.
shane mosley does absolutely nothin for floyds career. shane has evrything 2 gain and nothin 2 lose.
If Floyd beat shane, people are going to say shane was past his prime, and he beat an old fighter.
He fights Hatton people are going to say making him fight at 147 is why he lost, or flat out Hatton was gonna lose n e way.
No matter wat Floyd does he still will neve do enough in you guys eyes, ***** gon have to turn heavyweight to ever get respect, fight one of the champions, and even then people prolly would say he didnt fight Vladimir or somethin. It makes no sense

I've been saying SSM, Cotto, Williams, and hatton are the four remaining fights with impact and within reason for PBF. ALL 4 not one or the other. I dont give a damn in which order it happens ultimately. BUT ALL 4 are necessary to give Floyd the type of legacy boost he needs to approach the realm of greatness he's claimed himself in:yep
He beat DLH past his prime, the least he could do is beat SSM(who beat prime DLH). Also, I've been giving credit to Floyd for discussions with Hatton, but turning those discussions INTO REALITY is what matters and that hasnt happened yet.
Fuck the excuses and offer's BS, no one is asking ANYTHING OF FLOYD THAT MANY OTHER CHAMPIONS HAVENT FACED!!! I mean 4 more fights and the dude is what 42-0??? Please.....it should be EXPECTED that Floyd faces the remaining challenges.

He should have already faced Hatton at 140 instead of running up to 47 and 54 but it's water under the bridge.
Floyd should fight Hatton in the fall 07, SSM spring 08, Cotto Fall 08, and Williams after that. That's reasonable expectations and makes PBF a much richer and possibly legitimately respected P4P Champ.

Lets put it this way...
Lennox Lewis cemented his legacy by beating a list of opponents that litterally is a who's who of top heavyweight fighters of the 2nd half of the 1990s first half of 2000s.
In the case of Mayweather, the list of opponents THAT HE HAS NOT FOUGHT is a who's who of top 140-147 fighters. He has plenty of challenges between 140 lbs and 154 lbs, Paul Williams, Hatton, Sugar Shane, Cintron, Margarito, etc. If they're so easy to beat, hell just beat them easy.
Totally unrelated comment: Leonard Ellerbe, plz die.

He cant, it happened, and it's typical nut riding, hype loving, fan mentality. Many of PBF fans are in it for the 0 and if it goes away?? At least half his fanbase goes with it.
The only correction, I'd make to what is said is "been challenging". Floyd shut his trap and didnt touch it after Wright accepted and Winky moved on to 60 etc. Yet, PBF made a big deal, called him out, and ran away when Wright was willing a couple years ago.

Mayweather, at this point, cares about two things, as it relates to boxing, money and WBC titles. Shane is the WBC #1 contender and the fight will bring in lots of money. I'm confident this fight will eventually happen.
