after lurking in this forum for 3 years now... i came to a conclusion that there are only 2 types of boxers in here... the Overated and the Underated.... So guys could you post who you think are the most overated and underated fighters in here...

Underrated: Ivan Calderon, Travis Simms, Arthur Abraham, Ricky Hatton, Calvin Brock, Christian Mijares, Josh Clottey
Overrated: Edwin Valero, Jermain Taylor, Paul Williams

Cept Pacquiao.
good example of an underrated fighter. Apart from the Flips who horribly overrate him, Pacquiao is severely underrated on ESB

very true... a fighter is usually overated by his nuthuggers but could is also underated by haters... i guess it just even things out...:good

Sometimes I think Lennox Lewis is made out to be a bit better than he was (which was pretty damn good anyway).

On the same note, the Klitschko's get bashed a lot here. (Nope, I'm not a Klitschko fan).

The Golden Boy is slightly underrated, mainly because people seem to focus more on his recent performances and sometimes on results rather than fighting ability itself.

Calderon is the epitome of an underrated fighter, IMO.

It's a shame Floyd gets so much hate as well, the guy is one of the greatest boxers ever, and all a lot of people seem to want to do is disrespect him. :bart
