Talks about; Upcoming fight with Konstantin Airich, Matt Skelton - Sinan Samil Sam, possible Audley Harrison rematch and David Haye's chances on the Heavyweight scene.
Nice bit of Buncey afterwards too, some intelligent comments in and amidst the usual Buncey bollocks.

Nice to hear him, Danny is one of the good guys in boxing. Highly rates David Haye, quote "I would fancy him in with any of the heavyweight champions right now." A ringing endorsement of approval.
I hope Danny Williams gets his shit together, gets his weight down and makes one last run at the title. On his day he can beat someone like Chagaev and Peter.

What some of us have been saying on the forum for a while. All the build up fights are a waste of time when he could be beating the likes of Maskeav and easily beating fat Peter.
I guess this big money 6 fight deal with Setanta will be about a few warm ups (all decent pay days) and a possible title shot.

In a boxing match? Kimbo would get his ass handed to him. :deal
Danny's sparred with Haye before hasn't he? He said summat like Haye was the hardest puncher he's faced.

I think Haye needs to see how well he acclimatises to the new weight. he'll be 16st in the ring, maybe?
No need, its not as if he is stepping up 2 weight divisions. Nothing wrong with going straight for a title shot. RJJ managed to go from LHW to HW without acclimitising. Haye can do the same.

i wanna see him fight Kimbo So do I!!! Kimbo is the most over-rated fighter in the world.... He makes Manny Pacquiou seem like a guarded secret.
Let me lay it down for you.
Kimbo- zero grappling ability, zero athletic ability and mediocre amateur club level boxing skills who fights dumpling, fat, black guys who think there hard coz they had a few night club arguments and sell drugs. Wake up. Danny Williams would stop him faster then Keli Mehann... someone who can fight.

 Classic.
Thinking about it, Kimbo is the MMA version of fat sam. very little talent but with the right promotion and protection he can get far and make some money.

It's a pitty Danny wasn't able to stay focused and control his wheight through his career, he could have been a world champ.
Well, he still has some good fights in him, should be able to beat both Airich and Mcdermott and then land a bigger meaningfull fight for a high ranking somewhere. I just hope it's not against one of the other british HWs, enough of that.

Thats all we will get, the British HW merry go round. Skelton, Danny, Audley and Sprott, fighting each other and FW promising world title shots after each fight.
In the mean time Haye would have exclipsed them all by becoming a belt holder.
I think the Tyson win did Danny no favours (bank balance aside), he began to think he could KO anyone. In the last fight I saw him against Platov, he was taking shots galore and looking for 1 KO punch.

Danny will always be one of my favorite fighters. :good

and it would have worked if the fight hadn't been ruled a NC to stop the house fighter getting an L.

Yes it was a very dodgy decision and Spencer was well peed off. Danny was more relaxed and took it like a man.
He took a lot of punishement from Platov in that fight. If he had boxed a bit he could have still caught Paltov with the power shots but not taken all these shots.
