View Full Version : Lovemore Ndou
Has anyone here got any early footage of Ndou. More specifally Im after his fight with Cliff Sarmardin.
From what Ive heard Sarmardin was one of those "could have beens...".
Apparrently he was extremely talented and had great handspeed. He prematurely retired undefeated.
I wouldnt mind seeing some footage of him if possible...

I know ch.9 showed his whole fight against Danny Bellert, I was there for it and saw it a few months later on wide world of sports. So theres potentially at least one fight out there.
And Ip was right, Sarmardin could've been anything.

Lovemore:
“The real reason I’m fighting this boy is because he is rated No 2 by the WBO. Victory will pave the way to fighting for the title, which is held by Manny Pacquiao.”
Ring rival’s ‘boy’ blast at Brook
by Bob Westerdale Boxing - 31st May 2011
KELL Brook has been slurred as a “boy” who has fought no-one of any pedigree by the rival who stands in his way of a shot at the WBA world title.
Brook, aged 25, faces 39-year-old veteran Lovemore N’Dou at Hillsborough Leisure Centre on June 25 in a fight for the WBA Inter-Continental title.
Owlerton welterweight Brook has already stated his desire to inflict a first KO defeat on N’Dou, who will be competing in his 63rd pro fight in a bruising 18-year career.
That aspiration has clearly inflamed the South African who said: “I’m the master in the sport of boxing; many tried before and failed.
“They talk of Brook as the next big thing from the UK but to be quite honest, I don’t know anything about him. I don’t even know of any big-name fighter he has fought before.
“The real reason I’m fighting this boy is because he is rated No 2 by the WBO. Victory will pave the way to fighting for the title, which is held by Manny Pacquiao,” he told a Sowetan newspaper.
In December, N’Dou was outpointed by light middleweight world champion Saul Alvarez - the Mexican who will face Sheffield’s Ryan Rhodes for a world championship bout in 19 days.
N’Dou - who was beaten by South Yorkshire’s Junior Witter in Los Angeles in 2005 - has never won in Britain; he lost to Paulie Malignaggi in 2008 and drew with Matthew Hatton in 2009.
Brook, an Ingle boxer, is supremely confident he can not only defeat the Australia- based boxer but force that elusive, first-ever stoppage as well.
The Sheffielder has ended matches early on his last eight occasions, including three WBO inter-continental title battles. The fight will be screened on Sky Sports.

FOS... Nice footage that last lot mate. A shame he didn't stick in the game long enough to fulfill his true potential. A shame he'd lost interest 12 months before the retirement.

FOS - nice vid mate. Cliff certainly had all the potential to go on to world title honours. Pity he couldn't handle the city life.
