A nice positive thread for a change.I for one as a proud Englishman and a Ricky Hatton fan wish him all the best for tonight.I hope he gets his career back on track and provides us with a couple more memorable fights before he retires and takes his rightfull place in British boxing history as a world class performer and peoples champion. He has had a great career(better than most British boxers)and has given us something to be proud of in a nation of sporting failiure.he has earned all the trappings that come with success and i dont begrudge him a penny.Go on Ricky.

Positive posts only please,no Hatton hating nonsense:good

No, no. My opinion doesn't count for much even in my own mind really.

But I think it's pathetic people are willing the British fighter to lose.

Because he does too much TV. Or he pretends to help sick children. Or other such nonsense.

I was brought up to support our fighters in world title fights and I've never seen or heard anything to convince me otherwise.

I'm a fan of boxing not of fighters. The only two fighters I have been attached to are Lennox Lewis & Bernard Hopkins.

This is a great state to be in, I wish I could - emotion sometimes clouds my betting judgement

I find it hard to believe you can not prefer one guy, more often than not

Fair enough, not a mentality I understand, but that's NOT a criticism. It's just a diferent mindset to me.

I am a fan of boxing too but I have my favourite fighters and I support British fighters in international bouts, always.
