no way man, plenty of fighters at least as good as him or better get way less exposure.

He doesn't seem to do anything that well or that badly. Area level IMHO.

wasnt craig watson known as the guy who exposed khans chin in the amatuers?
anyways matty hatton isnt that bad he just isnt aggresive coupled with low boxing skills and with athletic talent...the worst mix for a guy who wont come foreward doesnt have the talent to be quick or to punch and still doesnt have a jab to at least make his non agresive style count.
has anyone seen lee meager...very similar pumps the softest jab right infron tof them throwing a jab. least spinks entertains the crowd a bit, these guys couldnt lift bosworths jockstrap i swear.
it kinda pisses me off that there are guy sfar more talented and overall better than meager and matty hatton yet hatton would sell out a arena prolly.

I though Matthew might lose to Watson. I've never been impressed with Matthew Hatton. he likes to referee his own fights and because of who he is related to, he has by and large been allowed to get away with it. He's also VERY annoying.

Its a shame, but he will probably still earn more money than better fighters by continuing to fight no-marks on the underbill of his brother's big fights.
He's English title level material, if even that.

His very limited and lucky to have Ricky as his brother. If he was not Rickys brother no one would bother with him and he would be fighting on small regional shows.

he should stick to the Micky from Rocky impressions

More Hatton bashing.Yes he is a very average boxer but if you were given the opportunity to make more money in a profession whether or not you were good or if it was on the back of your brother would you take it?Answer yes
Why not just talk about the guys fight instead of jealous personal rants as usual:roll:
Ps well done Craig Watson

How the fck is that Hatton bashing ?
Matt will never be on the same level as Ricky and you know that. The only reason he gets on the big undercards is because of Ricky.
If that is Hatton bashing then stick it up your punani. It is not Hatton bashing but a simple true statement.
If David Haye had a boxing brother called Matt Haye and he was as limited as Matt then I would be saying the same thing if he got to fight on all his brothers big fight cards.

i hope my comments were not provokative in any way,
i missed this one, but i'm not suprised matthew hatton lost. craig watson is a good underated domestic level fighter. hopefully he'll get a chance against the winner of british ww contest coming up.
i think the younger hatton will be around for a few years to come. can still do the job as a domestic gatekeeper, or if thats not glamerous enough for him he can carry on fighting for intercontinental titles on ricky hatton undercards.

Hattons not bad and has never claimed to be a world beater! He just gave the commonwealth champion a pretty decent fight give the kid a break!

Matthew Hatton was always going to be beat once he step up in class. He will still get decent pay days at his level given his name.

Matthew Hatton seems decent in the few interviews I've seen of him. He has never claimed to be anything special and is probably grateful that due to his bro he can fight on bigger cards.
However there's no need to feel sorry for the guy, none at all.

Cant feel sorry for him, he did his best for his caliber, not taking anything away from Watson but Hatton got it all wrong, he never tryed to break Craigs rythym at all and was soooo predictable, Watson's confidence just grew and grew....its a wonder hatton didnt get KTFO

I agree. He's not much kop and if he didn't have a famous brother he'd only be known by the really hardcore boxing fans.
Didn't he get himself DQ'd against Alan Bosworth because he was losing?

Yeah, weird thread. "Poor" is something I'm pretty sure he isn't compared to people of comparable talent level to him.
