Did anyone watch this? Great fight, Mijares is a special fighter. Munoz showed massive desire though, his conditioning must be great. Be interesting to see who they match Mijares up with next.

Not sure but it was last night in case you didn't know.
Watched it at the time, Mijares is sweet science personified. He has some very solid wins now, and deserves his p4p top 10 place
What the fuck do those judges have in for him though? He consistently gets shitty split decisions that are plain wrong :patsch

Does anyone know anything about IBF champ Kirillov?
Kirilov is a bit of a non-entity, he's a beltholder. The winner of Montiel/Mijares can clearly be considered the man at 115
I saw Kirilov against Navarro, so they have a common opponent, and Mijares did a far more impressive job on him whereas Kirilov just sqeaked him out with some favourable help from the Russian judges
Featherfisted too.

Montiel is moving up I think.
He's defending his WBO belt against Maldonado, so I'll live in hope for now

Excellent. Does it seem like a feasable match up? Mijares/Montiel I mean.

These little men are warriors, Mijares particularly isn't afraid to fight anyone. There isn't so much money and bullshit politics down there, so matchmaking shouldn't be so difficult
Donaire is supposed to want to step up to fight Mijares too, so there are some great matchups to look forward to

Thats good news although that was the first unfication at super fly for 10 years. Do you know what the last one was by any chance? I have to say the effort from both men was outstanding & I bet the money is nowhere near proportionate compared to what Klitschko probably got paid for his unification match.
