Watched the fight ringside and his skills have dimished. Whether it's the eye, age or both I don't know but he's not fighting Kessler because he can't win. Seriously if he fought Danny Green last night he would have lost.

Gotta agree.

I know he gets a rough deal around here but couple of years ago I reckon he would have given Kessler, Calzaghe etc a run because of his speed and slickness but he's not the same fighter.

Danny Green couldn't of landed a punch on him in a telephone box that night but since the eye injury he has been getting caught by far lesser men. His speed and stamina which were his bread and butter are also not what they were. He used to have pretty good pop also but in his last couple of outings he has looked weak and his right hand hasn't been the same since he tore the bicep.

I was at the fight, i had good seats and i disagree with you carlton blues. i have watched many mundine fights and his jab was as fast as ever last night. not sure why you say his skills have diminished.

I've seen all his fights too, I just think he's not as good as he was based on his last few outings. Watch the Green fight and Soliman 2, then watch the Hamdan and Soliman 3 fights and his shots have lost their sting, he isn't as sharp and he's eating a lot more leather. No disrespect to Sam and Nader but Danny Green would make quick work out of them.

Could it have been that Soliman's punches were so weak he didn't bother to take better care?

It's very hard to evaluate any fighter against Soliman. I also believe that he's trying to do to much fancy shit like slipping and rolling the shoulders etc when he could simply use his gloves.

Remember Green was standing right in front of Mundine while Soliman fights something like this > > >:nutcase

While his eye could be causing him problems the bicep injury has healed without problem.

His stamina levels may have dropped fractionally with age but to counter that he is more paitent and calculated in his fights. Both his first fight with Soliman and his loss to Ottke were both effected due to wasting to much energy early, bouncing around the ring like Ali without reason. Last night he looked as though he could have gone another 10 rounds.

Don't get me wrong, I expected more from him last night but fights don't always go as one plans. We'll find out soon enough because if you're right he;ll be severly exposed when up in class.

How the fuck do you remember what I said a few months ago when I can't remember what I said last week?

Are you that hard up that you have to bullshit to make a point? If I was to judge his progress on how he went last night I'd say there's a problem. I was disappointed with a few aspects of his game, especially his lack of agression and reluctance to throw the left jab and hook to the body.

That said I can't see how you can rate a guy who's fighting someone below his class. He done what was required without ever being tested. When he steps up to a class where he needs to be at his best to win then we'll find out if he can lift his game.

Now, is there some public toilets near your place where we can meet up? You can slap me and I'll call you daddy. :smooch

I dont think he is finished but clearly he is past his prime and best. If he brought that performance last night into a fight with Green or Kessler he would surly be knocked out or beaten up in a rather big way.

People will say It was Solimans movement but it wasn't just that, Because in the past few fights choc has not seemed the same and one has to be the eye problem which doesnt really seem to effect him much BUT the weight drain is i believe and if he fought a big Middleweight he would be in for a bad night.

Fight Kessler and take it from there.:bbb

I'd have to agree with this, he's certainly not finished, but is on the decline.

He KO'd Sam last time round, he was also in control and made him look silly for most of the fight. And it's not as if Sam has improved since then.

Fight Kessler and take it from there.:bbb
Yeh, like that's ever gonna happen.
Based on Mundines last few fights, Kessler would play with him.

I can't see that dropping to middleweight is a good idea. I can't see it being anything but too much of a strain on his body.

Fairplay to him for all the money he's made and all the fame he's generated, but what a pity that we didn't get to see such an extraordinarily gifted athlete in more than a couple of evenly matched contests.

But he is on the decline. I thought His speed would enable him to pitter pat his way to a UD over Pavlik who he mentioned post fight but NO WAY will he fight Kelly.

I gave Mundine about a 6 out of 10 on that performance.....not going to beat any real top 3 fighters on that example.

He looked fit and sharp but failed to throw any combos and was very cautious.

However Sam makes people look bad and ugly and to his credit that was his game plan and he got it right.

In the end I had Mundine 116 - 112 landing the cleaner shots.

Mundines not finished but if he is going to win another world title it will need to be vacant.

Same old crap.

Mundine looked fine against a tricky opponent. It was a good measuring stick after the injury probs, and although no KO Mundine looks sharp and dominated.

Mundine is still getting better and better, therfore haters will continue to wine and wine.

Green wont beat Mundine as Green keeps coming forward into Mundines range and Mundines speed will beat Green all day long.

With Sam he came in from all directions making life hard for Mundine and while Mundine won he looked average.

Mundine has to at least win a middleweight title to have any chance of fighting Pavlik.
Even then he isnt going to exactly be much of a draw in the US.
I guess the media can always pull out his "america deserved it" remark.
