Great news for the American public!
I hear Showtime will be showing the original fight with English commentary. This will be the first tme (other than the youtube crap) this side of the world gets to see this 'historic' battle. I do not have the dates of this replay, but I will post them here when I find out.

OK - that sounds like a plan. Me and a homie of mines were talking about this yesterday and I was telling him what I know about the fight - from reading about it - but I've never really seen the actually fight. I'll be on the look out for this.

Being from Ohio you have obviously never seen a good quality version. Watch it on HD Showtime and maybe you will see why Miranda couldnt stop him.

No doubt. youtube quality is horrible to watch this fight. I have watched both (HD verison and youtube) and you miss alot of what happens on youtube. Wait and see...

Just going to show me in clearer fashion how a man with a broken jaw still wins a fight and how the other fighter couldnt beat a man with a broken jaw. Clearer of course.

In HD you see Mirandas face after the fight knowing that he lost. His whining started much later. :)
But no dought it was a controversial match. Bad judging, many illigal blows, tons of blood...

That's great, now I wish I hadn't spent that money awhile ago ordering this fight from an internet seller. :?

Just seen the final of the fight. There is nothing of an upset in Mirandas face, he even holds Abrahams arm high...
...but I must admit that Abraham IS running away in the last rounds. :D

good, hopefully we see the real whole fight and how crooked the ref was. It wasn't a classy professional fight...AA recieved toooo much time to recover for bogus reasons. If he wouldn't of gotten all that kitty home town love he would of gotten KTFO

Didn't they allow the doctor to work on Abraham's mouth in the middle of the round? Shades of Gatti-Hutchinson.
Newman was too harsh on the low blows also. Most of them were borderline.

Granted, I've seen only the Youtube version, but I thought it should have been a TKO victory for Miranda.
Should be a great rematch.

Miranda was asked about this and he said he held his hand high to respect the fellow fighter for being a warrior and finishing the fight with such a brutal injury. It was not Abraham doings what happened with Neuman's horrible decisions and actions. He just did what he was told to do, make it to the end and he was guarenteed a win (as said by Wegner towards the late middle rounds.)

He had respect to the fellow fighter? :rofl
The fellow fighter he made the slit throat gesture?
The fellow fighter he wantīs to funt and slaugther like a pig?
Sounds not that realistic..... :bart

You dont watch much boxing do you?
All boxers show 'love' to each other after the fight and have respect.
Look how Tyson treated Lewis before and after. How about Mayorga and Oscar? Cmon man, the hate disappears quick after a hard fought war. The bottom line is they are professional athletes and know how hard each other work to get to this level. Sometimes the hate is just for buildup, sometimes it is real. But at the end of the day, boxers hold a high regard of respect to their fellow competitors.

Miranda should have been awarded a TKO victory when Randy Neuman took him over to the doctor and the doc said to stop the fight because of the brokern jaw.
End of story.

Not uncommon for guys that have faught each other to pay respects after the fight is over. Happens all the time in all sorts of venues. Both things you mention are pre fight hype.

Regardless of whether or not it should've been stopped after the broken jaw, it wasn't. Do you hear anyone saying Ali should've been stopped against Norton the first time after he broke his jaw?
That said, Abraham did get a lot of time to recover although that jaw obviously didn't heal in the minute's break. Miranda failed to impress in the later rounds and lost most of the early ones, plus the low blow point deductions = a loss.

All boxers show respect to each other after the fight? I donīt think so. Miranda behaved like an a**hole before the fight in germany and a few days after. Besides that one moment directly after the fight were he knew he lost the match...
Pantera2000, I apriciate you for being a fan or maybe even a Miranda staff member and provide us with interesting information but I donīt think youre realistic concerning that point wich is ok for me because I also am a fan, just for the "other side".
The first fight was a close one and perhaps Miranda wasnīt meant to win the fight that time. Both fighters made big mistakes in that fight (for example Abraham by opening his mouth wile recieving a punch = cracked head and Miranda for desperate seeking a ko even by headbutting and doing low blows.) The judges and the referee clearly werenīt capable of doing there jobs that time. We can argue both ways but 100% no one is right.
I hope the second fight will settle things one and for all.
...and may the better fighter win regardless who this might be....

Not "all", but it is very common for fighters to show good sportsmanship after all the trash talk and mind ames before the fight.

My point is... If Mike Tyson can bite off Lewis' ear and threaten to eat his children and still show respect and love after the fight, then I think Edison Miranda might have had it in him to do the same by raising Abraham's hand. :good

Well he bit Lewis's leg, but yeah, they showed good sportsmanship after the fight.
Funny how Holyfield forgives Tyson for biting his ear, but still dislikes Lewis for "assassinating his character" when he commented on Holyfield being a hypocrite.
I wonder if Holyfield is really just more mad at Lewis for beating him in the ring.
