Cuba will dominate like always.

Not so sure about that-with 3 of Cuba's big boxers defecting, they have some inexperienced members and some young members without much international experience. I expect Cuba to do very well, but not completely dominate.

I don't suppose this is televised anywhere here in the U.S. I recall at one point Pan-Am or Goodwill Games boxing was televised on HBO with the regular crew doing the commentary.

puerto rico's team should really be america's team. seeing as how PR belongs to the united states.little do you know that our Pan am and Olympic teams don't recieve one red cent from the U.S...but it that doesn't stop us from doing our thing in the ring. Imaging if we had the funding the U.S has...that would be insane.

USA Boxing basically gets jack shit for funding, which is why they can barely afford to do proper training camps and can only send the national team abroad for really major competitions, most of the rest of the time it's small groups going to minor events.

Lewis won silver at these games in 1987. I think he lost to Jorge Luis Gonzales in the final. Bowe got bronze that year.

Cuba should dominate don't espect any defection to hurt the team they always have a backup team, Joel Casamayor once told me for them is more difficult to make the national team than compete internationaly.
