Now before ya'll jump over me....

I think we're all forgetting that Floyd Senior is now training osca....Now i could be wrong but I reckon it will at least add up to a more interesting fight...Theres a lot more factors going into this fight that make it more interesting then the first ..namley the issues with Trainer and Son...

Floyds senior did build Floyd...we'll see.....Floyd will have a point to prove as well...to KTFO of Osca to fuck his dad over...

I think it's gonna be a better fight... the last time Oscar took all the chances and tried to make it a fight but never made it... This time I think Floyd will be much more aggressive since DLH is seemingly more hittable, and Oscar will try to win based on the jab, so if Floyd doesn't want to let Oscar dictate the place, he'll have to take chances...

So it will be a better fight, I see Oscar being able to land more clean punches and find some openings on the jab-based attack, but in the later rounds he'll get more punishment, and I think when Floyrd will realize that he can land combos on De La Hoya and able to hurt him, he's going to let his hands go and try to get the stoppage...

I think it will be a much better fight with the same result: Floyd on points.

Funny, I see exactly the same thing. Mayweather scared to engage the naturally bigger man, backing off and potshotting, landing the more effective blows. Oscar whooping a whole lot of fresh air. Some debateable close early rounds, Mayweather pulls away and gets a clearer decision

some part of me is also saying that it would be a better fight and DLH would adjust this time around, with floyd Sr. in his trainer i think it'll add as a major plus but thats just my opinion.

DLH is a smart fighter i don't think he will do the same shit again, he'll review that last fight and work on his mistakes. Perhaps he'd use that jab more and be economical with his punches so he doesn't run out of gas later rounds

Both are in decline. The inactivity and extracarricular activities of PBF since getting two huge big money fights are going to be a factor. The thing is Oscar is way past it and can no longer bring it. Oscar couldnt do it in his prime aginst SweetPea (bullshit decision) and Mosely, common sense should tell you why would he able to do it it now with less, against a similar opponent.

The powers that be only need a an excuse to fuck PBF over, look at the first fight split decision and closer on the cards than it was in reality. I always expected some controversy and well I am not overlooking the fact that if DLH can give them a reason they will rob Mayweather, it is a very strong possibility. Barring a lucky KO by Hoya he cant truly outpoint Mayweather and the only way he wins is via robbery or shit decision, but be very prepared for some controversey I get that feeling.

If he should win regardless of what he says to his wife about not fighting a Puerto Rican you have to know the charecter of this cunt and how he operates that he would love nothing better than to beat the idol of everyone on the Island he now lives on and to shock and reap all the accolades in beating the young stud of the boxing it would vindicate his sorry ass for failing all those other time this is what this guy secretly is hoping for do not listen to a word he says. This is what he is trying to accomplish then retire.

For the money.

Like, say a fighter destroys an older champion in 4 rounds with cuts. Then two years later, when the older champion is shot and is no threat, and there are plenty of good fights to be made, the younger fighter gives the old man a rematch and claims "it's personal, he didn't give me my respect the first time!".

Sound familiar?

Even if Mayweather dominates DLH, it only does a little bit for his legacy.

Winning a competitive fight with Cotto, an 8-4 type decision, does more for his legacy than winning 11-1 against DLH.

Fighting DLH is just good for his bank account. I'm not saying I blame him for rematching him, most guys would take the big money rematch, but it is what it is.

YES, a fight with Cotto would've been far better no one can deny that but this fight isn't a disgrace at all, is there a better fight to make instead now that Cotto/Margarito are set to fight?

This will be a good fight and Mayweather's father being in ODLH's corner might bring him the W this time, this is boxing anything is possible here.

It was a close fight in my opinion Lance, I honestly scored the first fight for DLH. This doesn't mean that a rematch will be different or is necessary, definitely not but it's not a disgrace either. DLH is getting older anyway and the way he fought Forbes is enough proof that he might lose clearly this time around but you never know. Also I expect Floyd to 100% fight the winner of Cotto/Margarito if he comes out victorious here.

Here's a question I would really like an answer to, who else is better to fight than DLH now that Marg/Cotto are set to fight each other?, any other boxer worth fighting instead?

Never say neer I guess....I just don't see DLH doing any better. I guess he can jab more, and we'll see how Floyd reponds to that. DLH still gets tired late. We'll see how HE handles that too.

After the first fight, Oscar was satisfied to move on. The one clamouring for the rematch was Floyd. Admittedly , money is a factor but generally, if you think you've won convincinngly, you don't pursue a rematch.

If you feel you've left doubts, however..... ?

I scored the first on a draw (Rounds 1,5, 9,10,11,12 to Floyd. Rounds 2,3,4,6,7,8 to Oscar).

If I HAD to pick one or other, I would pick Floyd as he won his rounds a little more convincingly.

So a SD for Floyd, I believe, was not far off the mark.

Oscar has the best chance of beating Floyd of anyone out there (with the possible exception of Shane), around 35-40 % IMO.

I'll be watching the rematch, live if it's available where i am.

And so will nearly everyone else posting here, including those who say they won't.

Boxers wanting money will ask for a rematch even if they won convincingly.

Mayweather's talking about a Hatton rematch. Hell, Wright was talking about a Trinidad rematch and even sort of making excuses for Tito in the post fight interview after beating him 12-0.

Boxers wanting money will ask for a rematch even if they won convincingly.

And you'll be watching the rematch?

Void is a fake hero. Oscar will beat him again, only much move convincingly.

The ignorance about the first fight is amazing. Some otherwise "reasonable and educated" posters actually think the first fight was a blowout for Floyd :patschI had it 117-111 for the Money. The ignorance about any fight that Oscar lost. among his male fanbase is amazing. Some otherwise heterosexual/straight males have hissy fits at sports bars when Jack Presscot reminds them their precious crossdressing hero is no longer undefeated. :good

Cotto -Margo pisses all over this and dances in the puddles.

When the Argument of saying PBF is past his prime, people always tend to scoff or talk shit about it, but if and when Floyd does lose withing the next year (IMO) "Guranteed" it will be the first thing out of all the same people's mouth "He was past his prime" and you can blame only one person for that, PBF.

I hear your point but Senior in not going to be in there Pscar will and i just dont think Oscar has the tools anymore to beat him..........He has too jab his ass off in that fight

Many of floyds fans are just like him (all about the hype). Proclaim yourself the best without actually proving it, show people how rich you are by throwing fake $100 bills, typical punk kid behavior.
A split decision over an older part time boxer is now a boxing lesson, hype it up baby! The fact that neither boxer was ever anywhere near danger has now turned into domination of Oscar, hype it up baby!
All this would be funny if it wasn't for the fact that many of the players in this silly game are full grown men.

You dont change a fighter who's been in the game as long as DLH. In fact its hard to change fighters at all. Most refinement goes out the window when faced with adversity anyway.

If DLh could do it? Its a MIRACLE!!! The lords way of punishing Floyd Jr. for being one of the games WORST DUCKERS, perhaps?:D
But those odds are LOTTERY odds.

Floyd's better, nore skilled, and younger. As much as I dislike the man and his DUCKING? That much was true the first time and will be the second time. The only difference? Is Sr. getting paid to be involved this time. It sure beats the tickets Oscar got hi:D m the first time:yep

How about his mandatory. Mayweather hasn't fought a WBC ranked welterweight contender in almost two years or tried to unify. Mayweather is keeping the WBC title on lockdown. Give the young guys a chance.
