He had hepatitis then came back to outbox McCall for 11 rounds before getting knocked out. Don't know what he's been doing since.

Still boxing the last I heard.

Just a gatekeeper now (not that he was anything more at any time)

After losing to McCall Akinwande was a sparring partner in Sauerland´s stable in Germany for a long time.

Isn't he in his 40's now? Should call it a day.

He's one of those fighters that in my opinion can be quickly forgotten - and I don't mean for this to sound harsh but he isn't the most exciting heavyweight out there.

He had a couple of good fights against Jeremy Williams and Alexander Zolkin but he never set my pulse racing and his perfromence against Lewis was a major turn off.

I understand he still fights and is based in Germany - I think. He is nearing the stage where his career is winding down.

No offence intended but WHO GIVES A SHIT???
He embarrassed his sport and country when he 'fought' Lewis.
Nearly as bad as Witter vs Judah !!

Still going, he's had 20 fights since losing to Lewis!

He was meant to get a WBA shot against Holyfield in '98 but picked up that hepatitis infection just a few days beforehand.

Since then, yeah, his most well-known moment is fighting McCall in 2001, outboxing him before Ollie pulled his trademark trick of soaking up abuse until the other guy is knackered and then knocking him out.

He lost a close decision to Oleg Platov in a bloody awful fight, and they were meant to rematch but it never happened.

Henry's got a style that is highly effective and has won him 50 fights, but on the other hand is bloody awful and negative to watch.
