Yes he could be very competitive with the top heavys - he is getting his submission defense down and most heavys out there couldnt take his punch ( a good shot) now that he has learned to sit down on his punches. Rutten said he was shocked how hard he hits now. Kimbo is very powerful also.

you don't learn all the stuff and do it extremly well in just one year of training..

IMO. I still think he has a way to go before he is up there. But then again we haven't really seen the best of him yet, and we can't say for sure whether he has stamina, heart etc. I think i'll withhold my judgement on him until he faces someone that is game and is going to give him a good fight. Not old fighters that aren't that good and that are going to stand there and let him hit them.

Skills pay the bills not Kimbo sacking some hapless QB in a youtube vid. The Kimbo phenomena is nothing more than an Internet creation. His done the right thing by training with Bas but lets keep it real Kimbo is a crude brawler and nothing more. All his socalled "MMA" skills are VERY rudimentary and basic. Yeah, that was pretty scary. It took Kimbo 3 rounds and a quick stoppage, against a fighter known for always being brutally KTFO quick. He looked like total shit on the ground, and had bad conditioning.
