LMAO at Scam Cheater never beating a legit top 10 guy and being ranked second. He lost the first Toney fight to an old washed up roided fat ass and has never ever ever knocked out a top 10 heavyweight.

I would put Peter below Sergei and Nikolai and move everybody up one (Ruslan is 2 IMHO, Oleg and Sultan are about even).

Peter's win over Toney is his only cred.
SL has a clearer and harder fought win over LB
and NV has way more cred.

That's what I'd change, too. Peter is way too high for merely beating Toney.

Pull Peter back down below Valuev, and bump everyone up one. Then it'd be pretty close to what I would say. :good

I also agree that Chag is #2, and Oleg and Ibrag are a close tie at #3 and 4.

I agree, especially about Peter. He's soooooo over rated here it's not even funny. I think people are basing their ratings on WHAT THEY THINK THE RESULT OF THE MASKAEV VS. PETER WILL BE before it even happens. Even if Peter were to beat Oleg how does that put him above any other beltholder? Based on his latest victory against Toney? The same Toney who barely scrapped by a journeyman in his very next fight?

Maybe too ealry for Solis. Actually it probably is, but one good win more and he must defintely be in top 30. Afterall the division is not that deep.

I have no problem with Chagaev or Maskaev as #2 and #3 in whatever order. Ibragimov as #4. Peter as #5 in my view.

He clearly lost to Toney in their first fight and Toney was clearly in much worse shape for their second. Anyways, I wouldn't have rated Toney above 5th before their first fight so how does beating him bring him up to 2nd?

I very much like your list Frazier, but doesn't Oleg get SOME credit for defending his title once? The other champions (except of course Wladimir who is anyone's #1 if they are credible at all) haven't even defended once. I know Okhello is nothing special, but that is the sole reason I have Oleg #2 or 3.

Not that I even really disagree with your list, I'm just rationalizing.

Honestly as much as i like Oleg i do not think that means anything.

He beat Rahman (a piece of crap fighter which was proven by his shape in the Sykes fight which just made me go are you FUCKIN KIDDING ME HASIM?:-()
and he didn't even beat him convincingly.

It was an even fight throughout like the first 8 rounds.

As far as Okhello. I will put this into perspective regarding that.
On the undercard IMamu Mayfield was fighting Povetkin and getting KOed by him.

Mayfield decisioned Okhello years ago before both turned to crap.
I mean dam if his promoters couldn't even switch those two and btw Oleg went the distance with Okhello while AP KOed Mayfield

what does that tell us about the defense?:verysad

I mean ok its a give me fight that is fine but i don't think he deserves any extra praise for it.

If Ibragimov beats Holy that will mean something cause EH has been on a winning streak with decent comp for his level (Maddalone, Oquendo, and perhaps Savarese).

That deserves SOMETHING.
If Wlad beats Brewster i mean he is 1 on any list anyway so it don't matter.
Yeah, I was just saying. I don't have any real problems not putting Maskaev #4 or #5.

What is the difference between being #1 on every list and being champion? It was a question I posed in an article that was rejected by the site, but it really bothers me. I mean, if you are the favorite in every fight against any other fighter in the world, how is that different from champion?

There are obviously some distinctions to be made. For instance, before Mayweather fought Judah he was probably a vegas favorite over any other fighter at 147, but he obviously didn't do anything for champion status. All of the other "champions" at heavyweight have no defenses (or, in Maskaev's case, only one and against Okhello). They JUST won their belts... I just don't see how the boxing community hasn't already proclaimed Wladimir the, perhaps unofficial, champion of the division.

I try not to play favorites, I really do. After Wlad lost to Sanders and Brewster I wrote him off, as I think many did. Still, the facts don't lie, and in his last 5 fights he has done more than any other Heavyweight in the world. I really don't get it.

Why is Chris Bryd in the top 10 when Wlad destroyed him and he hasn't beaten any of the fresh crop of talent in the division? I think Ruiz and Byrd need to be dropped down and Virchis moved to 10 and Dimitrenko needs to come up a few spots too. Although I saw Briggs as a media hype he could still blast out Tye Fields and nearly everyone you have highlighted in yellow. Also, I think Holyfield is too high as well. I would pretty much garantee Timo Hoffman would put Evander out of his misery and he isn't even on the list.

Beating McCline in impressive fashion will be good for Vk. I'll rank him #4 if he beats him.

1. Wlad
2. Peter/Oleg winner
3. Ruslan
4. Vitali

Then Vitali beats Pter/Oleg winner and become #1 or #2...and both brothers will be holding belts at the same time and at the top of the division.
