I myself have never seen him fight. Hes TKOed Alan Belcher vs defeated David Lousieau and submitted Jonathan Goulet which are all solid wins. He did he get KOed a year ago by Patrick Cote so im not really sure about him.

Now I'm confused- are we making a new thread for each week?
Shouldn't we just maintain one thread for the year, adding points with each fight?
Just a thought.
Matt Hughes Sub. 3 Thiago Alves
Fabricio Werdum W3 Brandon Vera
Nate Marquardt W3 Thales Leites
Michael Bisping W3 Jason Day
Mike Swick TKO2 Marcus Davis
Maurice Smith TKO2 Yoshida

Hope this week is better for El Matador, though alot of these fights are toss-ups IMO.

We take the picks over a month's period time, add it up and somebody becomes the "ESB MMA Pickmaster of July (or, whenever)". At the end of the year, we add it up and we have the "ESB MMA Pickmaster of 2008" (or whatever title we come up with). That way, people will be more interested in continually playing for each month.

Exactly and so you all know the reason I have it in different threads every week cause its too dam annoying when everythings jammed in one big ass thread.

I crapped a big one here.
Me tooooo!!!, I'm getting sick of refs and their shit calls!!!!, I can't believe Herby called Nate on that back of the head punch....that cost him the fight.

This week wasn't good for El Matador, prediction wise. It's been a rough year. :bart

Yep, the only thing i got right was Michael Bisping. Everything else i have a fail.
Goddamn ref needs to be less trigger happy when stopping fights and taking points.

Damn we know nothing here. I'm actually able to find some condolence in the fact that I just out and out sucked at the picks - as opposed to getting them right and turning them wrong at the last second.
I get 10 points for Swick getting the UD! But overall, I sucked. You have to love this sport...where nothing happens as planned.
I was one of only 2 people who picked Alves, that's th only pat on the back I can give myself, but I thought Hughes would make it to UD....Alves finished Hughes faster then GSP could props for that. Did anybody notice the size difference between Alves and Hughes, that was the first time I seen anybody dwarf Hughes like that....no wonder he couldn't make weight.
I'm not sure about only getting 2 points for the win pick.....It's hard enough to pick a winner and then only getting a possible 2 points if the rest doesn't work out.
4 points for winner
3 points for round
3 points for specific outcome... for a possible 10.....just a thought.

Trying to scrape a few more points are we?
Of course it wouldn't count for this event, just a thought for the future, picking the winner of the fight should get you the most points IMO

Fair enough. To be honest i agree with you, because you need to get the guy right to even get a chance of the full ten. It really should be more points.:good
