Greb
Ray had trouble against guys like Basillio,LaMotta & Fullmer.
Greb is a much better preassure fighter than these men according to prominent ring historians.

Could someone show me some footage of Greb? I just want to see how good of a pressure fighter he was. I have seen Tunney, but I just did not see how Greb dealt with Tunney. I have only read about it. If someone could show me something like this, I would have a much easier time determining how they would match up head to head.
I can compare their records at this time. I just can't do an accurate style comparison.

Greb beat Gene Tunney and other bigger fighters and smacked Jack Dempsey around in sparring so bad that Dempsey's managers ran him out before the whispers of a possible fight between the two grew too loud. You think Robinson could do either of those?
Greb was known as one of the fastest boxers who ever lived, with the best stamina and durability ever. He was basically, a bigger, stronger, faster Henry Armstrong. To say he has no chance against Robinson when in actuality he'd probably be favored is ludicrous. Read up on Greb more.I'm really impressed by greb's record. maybe greb can beat robinson by points. but greb's punching power is not really impressive. (48 KO's). and im not done. according to boxrec...greb's reach is 74, robinson's reach is 72, impressive record. but i would like to see more of greb in footage. hopefully someone who has clips of him should upload it. but in the meantime. i would still go for robinson.

There is some training footage of Greb, but no fight footage is known to exist, at least the last time I looked. Fight footage of this guy is the holy grail of boxing. I'm withholding comment until I see some fight footage.

Greb easy. Robinson was weak against pressure and was past his best at middleweight anyway.
SRR beat Lamotta one of the premier pressure fighters of all time ,multiple times, I dont see your argument, plus kos over Fullmer,a win over Basilio, both when past his prime.

Greb was stronger and more relentless than LaMotta, as for Fullmer and Basilio, they are light years behind Greb as pressure fighters.

Im not comparing anyone to Greb ,he was by all accounts singular ,my argument is that Robinson wasnt weak against pressure fighters,Greb may well have beaten Ray.

I would favour Greb via decision he was meant to be extremely quick I can't remember who it was but they described as being faster then Benny Leonard. Either way I see it being real close with Robinson have the greater power I think this would probably have to be the best out of three.

You got to beleive that a video of Greb boxing and training would be equally breath-taking, no?
However, I would pick a peak SRR to beat Greb. Why not? Each will be the best fighter the other has faced and if it's at 160 then the size advantage Greb has will be no bigger than the size advangtage most guys had over Sugar at middle.
I pick Sugar to fight a smart fight and win on points.
As to a series...can't say. But on fight night in their first duel, i'd be picking a Sugar win.

He has the best resume of all time
Why do you say this?

Robinson knocked out iron man Jake LaMotta, huge middleweight Randy Turpin (who knocked out Don Cockell, a challenger to Marciano's heavyweight title), former champion Rocky Graziano, Bobo Olson three times (Olson would beat Turpin for the vacant middleweight title), Gene Fullmer, and was winning going away against Joey Maxim, a man who had wins over Jersey Joe Walcott and Floyd Patterson. Robinson at least outpoints Harry Greb.

well i would have to go with greb mainly because of his size, it sucks that u cant see any footage of him and i hate betting against srr but from what i have read of greb he would probably beat ray

Look at it. And you'll see.
Multiple wins over top notch fighters, and A LOT of them. Defeated 18 CHAMPIONS between MW and HW, how bout that? Read this article.

I have looked at his record and read the article. But why do you say he has the best resume?
Street Lethal

Because he does. He fought top notch opponents and champions everywhere from MW to HW and beat them. His resume is more versatile than Robinson's.
From lightweight to light heavyweight: Armstrong, Servo, Angott, Shapiro, Zivic, LaMotta, Abrams, Gavilan, Belloise, Fusari, Olson, Graziano, Turpin, Fullmer, Basilio, Castellani, Maxim. I don't see how Greb's record is more versatile than this.

O'Dowd, McCoy, Chip, Walker, Flowers, Wilson, McTigue, Dillon, Levinsky, Loughran, Slaterry, Rosenbloom, Tunney, and 4 title claimants Eddie McGoorty, Frank Mantell, Jeff Smith, and Bryan Downey.
As well as guys like Blackburn, Graves, etc.
You forgot Gibbons. Walker and Flowers were great middleweights. Greb beat Walker when Mickey was moving up from welterweight. Flowers beat Greb twice over 15 rounds. Rosenbloom, Loughran, and Tunney were great too. The rest were good fighters. But this group is not the class of the Robinson group. Boxers were better in Robinson's time than in Greb's.
I say this as a huge Greb fan, one who puts Greb in the top 10 of all times. The problem for Greb is that Robinson is the greatest of all times. If they met at 160 Robinson would outpoint Greb. That's my pick.
