is this a joke?
robinson was 40-0 as a welterweight before loosing to lamotta in their 2nd fight. it was robinson's first defeat.
after his first defeat, he won 120 of his fights before loosing against randy turpin in 1951. and after that he was loosing fights and winning etc.
so to answer your question. robinson who is 5'11 with great reach and great power and speed combination would take floyd in 2 rounds.

Robinson was in a different world than Maywether. Robinson by KO, between 3 and 8.

Robinson was better than Mayweather for sure, there's no comaprison. I'd actually argue that SRL was the best WW ever. :bbb

Paulie Malignaggi is under the impression Mayweather would beat Robinson.
I actually think it'd be a very close fight, Mayweathers quick feet, incredible defense and technical mastery would frustrate Robinson, but I don't think Mayweather would do enough to win the decision.
He was better suited to 130lbs in any case, too small for the large welterweights.
Robinson SD.
Mayweather would certainly give Robinson more problems than Roy Jones would at any weight.

Robinson by late KO or wide UD. Robinson is in a different league.

Malignaggi looks like Zoolander, and I doubt watches classic fights. I dont care what he says.

You said who was the best Welterweight ever. Robinson is the best, but what does it have to do with this question? Mayweather's not a top 10 Welterweight of all time, not even close. Robinson would give him an ass-whooping. Robinson by clear UD, may even put PBF down at least once.
You are being EXTREMELY generous to floyd here....
Robinson ko`s floyd inside 7 rds while controlling the match.

Robinson is the greatest Welterweight ever and he KOes Mayweather, who is the greatest Junior Lightweight ever.

No Contest. Robinson fought and beat the best welterweights of his era without ever losing at 147 and Floyd only fought two fights there, neither against a truly great opponent. Floyd's not even in the all time welterweight discussion.

Mayweather would not have a chance against Robinson

Putting the greatest fighter of all-time in with someone from a lighter division does not a great fight make.

Close fight, but Ray, while trailing on points early, will pull out a close decision in the end.

What on Earth makes you think it would be a split decision? I for one don't neccessarily think he KO's Floyd becase Floyd is a fantastic boxer with top notch defense, but Robinson simply had too much firepower for him. Way too much.
I can't follow your line of thinking personally because if the fight pans out as you predict, with Robinsons firepower being "too much", then Floyd would be stopped, plain and simple.
Robinson is one of the most destructive welterweight punchers of all time, if he catches Mayweathers chin (The chin of a man who is essentially a featherweight) he will drop him like a sack of potatoes. There can be no question about that.
I just think Robinson is going to be forced to come forward all fight, rather than boxing for periods as he likes to do. He's going to have to close Mayweather down for three minutes a round, something which will not come as naturally to him as it does to Castillo or Hatton.
Mayweather is faster on his feet and has the better handspeed, so I feel that his usual tactics would work fairly well against Robinson, I just don't see him doing enough to get the decision. Robinsons long stiff jab would put a serious dent in Mayweathers game plan, and I don't see him committing enough to trouble Robinson to a great degree, but I think he would frustrate Ray.
No fighter has ever teed off on Floyd at will, no fighter ever will, pull your head in.

Mayweather has not done anything to warrant a comparasion to Robinson.
