In my profession I sometimes talk to people on the phone before I go to their place. Sometimes they can be down right nasty on the phone, but once they have to deal with you face to face, they change their tune. Phone, internet, whatever takes away the face time seems to dehuminize the process too much. Not that we EVER see any of that at ESB.....

Very apt point. Face-to-face relations nearly always take on different characteristics. This is especially true of the internet. With Enzo Calzaghe, though, I imagine he was just acting naturally in person and was engaging in the war of words through the press more as a way to sell the fight and have a little fun.

Agreed. I don't think either of them have any bad feelings.

Joe will get beaten relentlessly until he is KOed.
And your excuse will be that he got old and that he had trouble making the 168 weight limit and that if he had fought at 175 he would knock Kelly out.
The excuses are already being prepared.

don't worry, we don't need excuses and neither will you, because when pavlik gets lacyed you will just disown him like all of calzaghe's other victims who the haters picked to beat him. :good

Not more ridiculous hype, for gods sake its Joe Calzaghe man, when has he ever been dominated.....
Ive said this before but Pavlik lands his big right once or twice thats it, cause Joe adjusts straight away...then the chance is gone and Joe gives him a boxing lesson.
And guess what is then said...Pavlik was untested, over-hyped, blown up MW etc etc.
Yawn....... champions dont beat kings

Any time any dorky Brit mentions Lacy in relation to Kelly Pavlik I know that person is more delusional than the typical British boxing fan.
It's about as appropriate a comparison as Joe Calzaghe and a total slob like Gary Lockett. :-(
Get your excuses ready, British bitches.
Remember Joe would have won if they had fought at 175!

completely different fighters, same result. :yep
that one dimensional, slow as a three toed sloth ohio hero is gonna get the lesson of a lifetime. calzaghe will work him out within the first few rounds and you'll cry once more into your beer then move onto chad dawson as your calzaghe slayer in waiting.
enjoy bitch! :good

Nope -- Kelly WILL NOT dominate Joe. In fact he may very well be behind on the cards when the KO comes in round 10 or 11. I've predicted Pavlik KO10 calzaghe, and that has been my prediction since the Kessler fight. However, come Saturday Joe will get his first up close and personal look at Pavlik, and I think he will probably choose to fight someone else.

I hope team HBO gets the ball rolling for some interest in this MEGA Fight. With Kelly (and Enzo) in the ring and Joe at ring side, some talks will surely get going on in there.:hey

Pavlik is a 25 to 1 favorite... If this'll go past 3 rounds, the boxing world will be disappointed in Pavlik. If Kelly's gonna give Lockett any chance to prove that he's better than his horrible resume says (for a mandatory challenger), I will be disappointed.
What a bad mismatch... Go Kelly! Finish off this dude as fast as we're expecting!

Agree 100%. IMO, if this shiz goes even 5 rounds, Pav is gonna get hammered. 3 or less, that's what I'd like to see. Make it quick so I can switch channels to showtime and see Mora gettin Fooked up by Forrest.

And I have said before, Joe won't do something that Kelly has never seen before. Both sides will live with the films. Bet on it. ;)
How did my little good will thread become another Pav/Cal war zone? Oh the huge manatee!!!!
