How so? Larios is a very difficult fighter to beat.

I'd be quite worried if I were a fan of Linares, seeing as that tomato can got some shots in, which froze Linares in place in effect. Larios will easily land on him from the looks of it.

Larios looked very bad in his last fight in Cancun, he was going to be Ko'd several times by a guy with a record of 6-3 :-( and only won by Points.

I was really sad to watch Larios struggle with that kind of opposition.

The only way Linares wins is if Larios is completely and utterly shot.

Some fighters are also hot and cold fighters. I seriously doubt Larios' was fully prepared there, the 6-3 guy was coming down from 130 and has 6 KO's out of 6 wins.

If Larios didn't train effectively, it would explain why he couldn't decisively beat such a low level fighter.

However, I'd expect him to come prepared for this PPV showcase and Linares looks average to me.

That Cid guy looked very good and i was really surprised how almost he manage to beat Larios, the crowd was in his favour in the last rounds cheering for a KO.

I can't believe how poor his record is, he's very brave and tough.

This type of stuff happens to even top class fighters when they don't come in motivated or prepared, I've seen it time and time again, but most of the time, they bounce back to near form.

At least expect Larios to come in prepared, if he's too shot to win, then so be it, but he's very difficult to fight, I had him taking 4 rounds from Pacquaio(not counting the KD's), which is an achievement in it's own. Pac's also got the best style to beat him, Linares doesn't, Larios can fire shots down the pipe and easily outbox him.

We'll see.

Your not impressed with any prospect. Linares has quick hands, a good jab, and is pretty quick on his toes. They say he embarresed Daniel Ponce De Leon in sparring and gave Manny Pacquiao a good sparring session. He reminds me a little bit of Juan Manuel Marquez.

Linares has quick hands

I agree.

, a good jab

Highly disagree, it's a workable jab, but not anything notable.

, and is pretty quick on his toes. They say he embarresed Daniel Ponce De Leon in sparring and gave Manny Pacquiao a good sparring session.

They also say John Ruiz KOed Lennox in sparring, don't believe that one. By the way, Ponce De Leon is one dimensional and won't be a major player, so if he tooled Ponce in sparring(which differs from a big stage fight), then I can buy that.

He reminds me a little bit of Juan Manuel Marquez.

I'm going for Linares by UD

Well, Larios looks well fit and healthy from those photo's, so I'll stick with Larios by UD.

I will say however, if he's shot, you'll probably be the one who gets this one right, I really can't tell you because I haven't seen any of his fights since Pacquaio, and he'd have tooled Linares that night.

Enjoy the fights.:good

The kid's obviously much better than those video's suggested, those video's showed all kinds of flaws. Hmm, bad pick on my part, yours too mate!

However,

Big credits to those who picked Linares and congratulations to Linares for stopping a very tough fighter in Larios who was game tonight.:good

Amsty you should stopped predicting fights, you're really suck in it. It's like you cursed the fighter everytime you pick them to win.

You're lucky you didn't take my week-off bet. I guess you don't have the confidence on your pick. I guess you learned from your history.:bbb

Shit little man, I've gotten 85% right of last month and a half. You try predicting a bunch of fights where you have minimal experience with both fighters and see how many you get right.

You got Donaire and this one, fair game, I gave you credit for Donaire, but I've picked more fights correctly to the exact details than you've even ever watched, much less picking straight winners, so let's keep it in check when throwing insults.;)

well, he should then go up to 130 and line up for a shot at pac... but that line is a very long one. a lot of top class boxers want pac since pac is definitely the "money man" at 135 and below.

linares versus valero would be an extremely interesting match considering that they are both based out of japan w teiken. i think the winner of that match in approx a year, to fight manny pac would be an excellent match for us

Props to Linares!

I was picking Larrios to win by UD but DAMN he made Larrios looked OLD and a WORN out fighter. :-(

The guy is a complete package, power in both hands, good defense and accuracy. And he never got rattled . . . he is picking his shots very cool.

Yeah, now I believe he is a future star material. :yep :good

i love most, how he ended it with the right after banging so hard with the left all night. showed he has power in both hands and the ability to put combinations together like a seasoned pro. i do however think he'll have alot of trouble with a shorter fight who could more compactly go to the body, and be able to better mix it up on the inside. larios was indeed WAY too long armed to do good damage on the inside if any at all.

Pac's handlers wouldn't want to have Linares spar with him because they were paranoid that the Venezuelan might be sizing up and spying on Packy, giving his compatriot and stablemate Valero first-hand pointers on Pac's *****s...
