Word has reached me that Big Bob Mirovic will be facing John Hopoate in the near future on a blockbuster card. If it gets the nod, well done, especially to Hoppa for taking on a way more experienced opponent at such an early stage in his career. Stay tuned...

Adam "the beast" Forsyth will be making big wavers in the cruiser/heavy divison very soon weeding out all the pretenders, dont blink!
i know Adam is a novice in the pro ranks. but even after 10 or 15 fights i cant see him matching it with Tauasa

when-a you swim in the creek and an eel bite-a you cheek, dat's De Mori:yep
When the moon hits your eye
Like a big-a pizza pie
That's da mori
When a polooka looks to shine
but hes had too much wine
That's de mori
Bells'll ring
Ting-a-ling-a-ling
Ting-a-ling-a-ling
And you'll sing "ring d bella"
cameras play
Tippi-tippi-tay
Tippi-tippi-tay
Like a gay heavy fella
When the card girls make you drool
Joost-a like pasta fazool
its not de mori
When you dance round the ring
With a cloud at your feet, you're in trouble
When you walk in a dream
But you know you're not dreamin', signore
'Scusami, but you see
Back in old Napoli, that's de mori
(When the moon hits your eye)
(Like a big-a pizza pie, that's de mori)
That's de mori
(When a heavy looks to shine
(but hes had too much wine, that's de mori)

It’s gotta say something about our heavies that it seems to be the same old faces year after year.
Full credit to big Bob, but there ought to be young talent ‘retiring’ 42 year old heavies off the scene.
But we’ve never had any decent heavyweights! That’s why Tony Mundine (Snr) was able to collect Australian titles, including HW, at will (in the 70’s), even though he was a MW (a bloody world class one too). Ambrose Palmer was doing the same thing in the 30’s.
I guess going back there was Jimmy Thunder (really Samoan), Dean Waters (till other issues took his focus) and fleetingly, the man who could wack but not jab, Dave Russell (really a CW anyway). But in my opinion you need to go all the way back to Bobby Dunlop (in about 1969) to find a genuinely good Australian HW.
Really hoping Kali Meehan or someone else can go on and disprove that opinion.

i think kali missed his chance, seems to me hes to inactive, since his fighting with touch of sleep he should have fought another couple times with someone around the same ranking and if he knocked em out would of made some really good money but now hes prob going to be doing it tough to flat out fight someone from the top 10 now that they know he hasnt got a name, but hes a big danger to anyone looking for a safe fight.

if marks confident he should go for it, if theirs a promoter willing to make it happen. But in my opinion i think it should be LEAPAI VS DEMORI - 2 for the PABA and hav it during the hopa & bob fight then it'll be worth the watch and have solo & cliff as the undercard.....heavyweight galore.
I should be a promoter...lol
