The man is much bigger than I thought, I mean we all know Winky is a big man especially when we looked at him against Tito, but after the weigh in looking at the two standing face to face Bernard is clearly the bigger man I had no idea that he was that big, hell his fucking head is huge.
This will be a tuff fight for Winky and if he pulls it out, my goodness what a way to go out.

As he showed against Tarver, Hopkins feels a lot better at this weight and it shows

He looks healthier perhaps that has something to do with the move up in weight, But the question is did he make that change a bit too late?

He might have made it a bit too late, yeah, but better late than never. I think he feels refreshed at this weight. He's like a legit 6'1, isn't he?

I think he is about that maybe 6'2 I think the change is a bit too late, I would have loved to see him move up after he beat Tito he would have given Roy Jones all he could handle in a rematch then, and this would have took place before Jones Tarver.
better late than never sure but in boxing sometimes late is what it is.

I've actually met Nard. He's a legit 6'1 and solidly built. Winky is gonna get his ass kicked tonight. Props to Winky for being a real man and agreeing to take on such a tough challenge. However, by the end of the night he'll regret the decision.
hopkins , even as a middleweight was the size of a super middle in frame and 6.1 in height.
to me wright just looks what he is a light middle who has moved up the diviisons.
he never used size and strenght to win his fightes even at light middle and used his technique, which he has continued to practise.
just because wright is 170 tonight, just means he is a blown up fighter , fighting out of his weightclass, whereas hopkins is very comfertable with the bit of extra bulk on his always superfit frame.
he looked anorexic sometimes making weight even if he made it very comfertably, imo that was due to very good diet and training in between fights and he never ballooned.

I dont think Winky is a blown up fighter, his frame shows that he is a big man, his shoulders are wide dude, as to where Nards ar not, Nard has height, while Winky has a different frame, I like Winks tonight if he gets the jab going if he dont its all Hopkins.

i think wright has to clearly establish the jab from the get go , if he doesnt he is giving hopkins the chance to establish his bully type style and if hopkins does this its gonna be a long night for winky.... on the flip side if hopkins dont land the lead right which is what you need to do to get in a southpaws head it will be a winky show with the jab.... i honestly think this is going to be a better fight than most think

winky looked big but next to hopkins he looks small. bhop is gonna use tricks on the inside and bully him around when winky puts his ear muffs on.

the only affective way to beat someone with wrights style is to bully them around. when they go on defense, attack all angles and hold afterwards. only problem will be if winky goes on the defensive too much, hes gonna have to keep his jab in bhops face and not fall for the feints.

And let me say this right now, NO ONE out-counters the Executioner.
Truth! :yep

The trouble for Winky is that he can not, can not, outslick Bernard. If he stops opening up, he's going to lose rounds. You know by my avatar who I want to see win, but I'll give Winky a ton of credit if he makes this close or wins.

Hopkins is an awesome fighter, but he is beatable and i think Winky can do it if he applies himself. The way to beat B-Hop is to be busy, Wright is gonna have to work hard and apply constant pressure and just be the busier guy.
I think this fight is going to be a DRAW:lol:

This will be a tuff fight for Winky and if he pulls it out, my goodness what a way to go out. As I have been saying in ages on this forum, Hopkins is a natural 168 or even 175 lbr.
When he fought Roy Jones, Hopkins was clearly the bigger guy. Jones moved up to HW whereas Hopkins stayed at 160, fighting the likes of Tito and DLH, both of whom have no business at 160.
I never thought very highly of Hopkins, especially when he looked totally unimpressive against Taylor. But when he moved up and defeated Tarver. That was then the time where he proved to me that he can beat guys of his size (well Tarver is slightly bigger than him).
Winky is another guy who is too big for a 154 lbr, he really should be at 160 - 168. But he proved he can look good against a legit 160 lbr in Taylor.

I have a feeling this fight will be very close and controversial.
