Always glad to read the scottish fighters views as I am a scottish boxing fan first & foremost nowadays, the rest of the world can take care of itself:D

The only thing that annoyed me though was Baz saying he would win a european title at best, he was good enough to beat lenny Daws who was being touted as the future 'Ricky Hatton' by SKY before Barry beat his ass, so the bizness should be aiming higher than that.

Hes got the body shots to hurt anyone, in fact Barrys ferocious body punching reminds me of a certain Micky Ward. So Baz should be aiming higher than euro level.

Beating David Barnes will be another massive scalp, just keep on him Baz, cos hes dead at the weight & will crumble if you keep the pressure on. Kick his ass!!!

I don't remember anyone thinking of Daws as potential World level(although I didn't see the Morrison v Daws fight so maybe it happened there) , and he certainly isn't .

Morrison is realistic , he struggles badly with fighter who have good lateral movement and a good jab . His body punching while good is no where near the level of someone like Ward and if you asked me what's the biggest thing a fighter of Morrison's ability could win it's the European title , so imo he has things spot on .

Do you really reckon he'd beat Bradley , Malignaggi , Kotelnik , Torres or Hatton ?


With that said best of luck to Morrison , I hope he beats Barnes .

As a biased Scot, I'm sure that Barry has the ability to win this one. I'm looking forward to it as I think this will be a fairly even contest that could be determined by Barry's work rate and use of body shots. Good luck from sunny Renfrewshire!

I liked the honesty about trying to better himself; this is what makes boxing great - it delivers such an opportunity - even if it's just to get up aff yir a**e to train a bit. Takes kids off street corners, give the exercise buzz and turns them into decent pleasant members of society... blah blah blah. IMHO and sorry if this has turned into a bit of a sermon.

i think he is good /from what i have seen and read.he seems to have his head screwed on ,but i thuink it is a travisty that the media seem to shun him.
