Although neither is going to be a world champion now I think this could be an entertaining fight on July 4th.
Will Vidoz get a fair chance on the bill against the home fighter?
This looks close I think but am favouring Sam about 70-30
Any views guys

the overweight dude will do it.
I think Sam will win it after 12 rounds.
the overweight dude will do it.
He lost a lot of weight from what I read a few weeks ago, so it will be interesting to see how he is in the next fight.

Vidoz used to be a good boxer, but don't know if he has anything left.

According to his trainer ,Sinan is good condition now.He prepares with Henry Akinwande and a Russian boxer for Vidoz fight. Two days ago ,He trained 10 rounds with Akinwande and his coach pleased his workout. He is 112 kg and he lost some weights.

I hope it will win Vidoz. Sinan is not better boxer than Vidoz..... I'm afraid that Ahmet Oener will make another stupidity like in Bilbao

I pick Sam by a pretty clear 116-112 decision.

Sam hasnt shown a single convicing performance in his last few outings to a box ring. Watched him live against Perkovic,a journeyman who cant crack an egg with his soft punches and who isnt known to possess an iron chin. Even Bidenko stopped that journeyman in 6 rounds, and Bidenko for sure isnt known for his outstanding firepower. Sam looked like Luciano Pavarotti's brother showing a horrible performance against Perkovic. It was fun to watch Sam with his huge belly try to hunt down a stiff opponent who wouldnt have lasted 3 rounds with any serious contender.I even cheered for Perkovic who gave it try at the end of his encounter with Sam.
Sam had to go the full route in his following fight on native soil against an Arab no-hoper.Therefore I will bet my money on Vidoz. The Italian always puts up a courageous show of boxing. It is his last chance to earn some decent bucks in this business.Vidoz has to win this upcomming fight.I for my part think that he will seriously try to upset the favoured Turk.
jVidoz by point decision!

Well, the fight was scored a draw in Sams own turf. Anyone see that fight?
Boring match.
Both fighters were fighting at a low tempo as expected. Nothing really interesting happened. Judges had it 114-114 2x and 115-113 for Sam. I thought Vidoz could have won it with 1 point difference maybe, but on homesoil, a draw could be expected with that performance.

Both guys showed yesterday night they have nothing left, but at least Vidoz has the excuse of 8 surgeries to elbows and knees, he's nearly 40 years old, titanium plates in his knees, plates in his wrist, in his jaw. Samil Sam did absolutey nothing, not that VidoZ was all that active, but I had him ahead of 2 points. Both guys ain't world beaters but they have the right to fight and get some money so I can't understand pathetic idiots who state "meaningless fight, who cares?".
Well, THEIR FAMILY and their bank account cares, so let them fight, even if they resembled two 70+ years old trying to climb the Everest.
Vidoz snapped the Turkish's head back any given time he threw a jab, I counted in a round 18 times his head was being snapped back by his jab, still, he seemed unable or unwilling to follow up with a right hand......Vidoz has always been a mistery to me.
I posted this comment on the home page upon learning that Mr. psycho-"call me timekeeper" Ahmet Oner filed a protest to EBU:
In a sloppy and uneventful fight, Vidoz outjabbed at will Samil Sam. If we want to give a round to a fighter just because he marches forward absorbing blows George Chuvalo is an all-time great and possibile the greatest fighter that ever lived. Not that Vidoz did to Samil Sam what Ali did to the Canadian, no question about it, but throughout 12 rounds he landed at will, yeah he could have followed up with a right hand after landing his jab, but still, he won at least by a margin of 2, 3 points. Ahmet Oner is a serious threat to boxing, he was seen sprawling on the judges' ring, shouting at them, blasting the desk with his fists, telling them how to score a round, ALL BEFORE TV CAMERAS. Then he tried to strip his shirt, attack Salvatore Cherchi and Vidoz and now a protest? A protest should be filed yes, but just to clarify what he did yesterday night, not the other way around. A few years ago he attacked Klaus Peter Kohl and went into a brawl with the security when he had to be restrained, this man is dangerous, he can't keep himself cool and that's a potential threat for everyone involved at ringside.

Vidoz wins the match clearly but he was robbed. Ahmet Oner makes shit once again, he threat judges to give draw. I`m sorry for Sinan but he must retired.

I take it that you watched all fights on that fight show, koraytyson!
I am quite interested in Ondrej Pala's performance against Henry Akinwande and Erislandy Lara's pro debut.
What did you think of their performances? Did they look good and convincing in their fights? Their weak spots?

Yes,Odo, I watched all fights on that night. The first fight was Pala Vs Akinwande. Pala is more younger than ex-world champion. So , he was more aggressivor than him.And he was the active fighter for this fight.Akinwande looked old and slow.He wanted throw his punches when Pala was hitting him, he fouught as counter -attack boxing. After the six rounds ,Pala won and I agreed this score.I think the fight was not 6 rounds but this was on.He looked that he had enough performance to win.
Lara fought his first pro fight.I think Lara is smaller for middleweight division.I waited from him that fast-KO but he won by points. His opponent was weak so ,I think this fight did not send us true message for Lara.
Atagun Yalcinkaya was good.He is in-form and cotinues his way.Mahir Oral's fight was boring.Altough his opponent showed good performance ,Mahir must won by Ko , IMO.
Sam - Vidoz fight was not too boring but nearly boring. They did not show convincing performance to win the tittle, imo.Vidoz used his left jab all of fight and Sinan's defence against this punches was bad.Sinan tried to use his combinations (right-left-right) ,but he was slow all of fight. When the score wan announced ,Ahmet Oner ,who is organiser of the fight and maneger of Sam ,was angry. He did not accept this score. And , he showed aggressive actions but not attacked to anybody with his head. The French Judges Robin Delpierre ,changed his mind after the 12'th round.According to Oner , first he scored 10-10 and then he changed his score to 10-9 for Vidoz so this fight was draw. Then ,Oner was jumping to push with his two hands to The French Judges head ,not headbutt. Then ,some actions hapened in the ring which we must not accept for boxing. Then ,the last fight ,Hide Vs Seferi started.

Thanks for the fight report,koraytyson!
Yalcinkaya will make quite a lot of noise within the next 3 years IMO.
He will be a force to be reckoned with at his weight division. Oener has some bloody good fighters in his stable.
Who do you think will be the victor in a fight between Sinan Samil Sam and Ondrej Pala?????

Ondrej Pala is hungry ,ambitious boxer and too young for this competition. he has some defensive problems ,for example he can take some jabs. And ,when he is hitting then suddenly downs to defensive position. If I comparison between Sam and Pala ,first I must want to say that Sam is not Sam ,who destroyed Williams and Bakhtov. He is not in good shape. He is 115 kg ,when he fought against Williams he was 108 kg.Now , he is too slow and he has not ex-power.His defence is weak now.His carriere falls down. And he wants to finish his carriere after Vidoz fight but this is not official.Today's Sam versus Pala fight goes to 12 raunds and winner will be Pala ,A 3 year ago's Sam Ko's Pala in six or eight rounds.

Minto stops both within a MAXIMUM of 2 rounds.

Pala is a gifted young small heavy from the Czech Republic. He desperately needs a good coach and a good promoter. He could go quite far IMO. Of course he isnt the most promising young heavy worldwide or the biggest talent out there.
Neither will he ever be a true top 15 fighter IMO.However,he has the skills and tools to beat quite a few of the fringe contenders and boxers of the lower echelon of the heavy weight division.
Someone should give Oener Pala's telephon number.
As for Pala vs Sam I,too, tend to think that Pala would beat Sam in a fight over 12 rounds.
I watched Sam vs Danny live a couple of years ago,and I also watched one of Sam's last fights -against Perkovic -live.
Couldnt believe my very own eyes when watched him against Perkovic. A fat lazy slob who listlessly tried to hunt down a harmless journeyman came up against stiff resistance against aforementioned journeyman when he sensed that there would not be any real danger from his harmless foe.
The version of Sinan Sam who beat Danny knocking him down several times before knocking him out was shockingly obvious.
Sam seems to be over the hill. He lacks motivation and discipline.
