It appears this fight must now be made to settle old scores. Does Hopkins have enough in the tank to outwork Roy? How do you see it going down?

He would beat roy no prob if he was able to dismantle tarver with ease, and handle winky well.

Ha, I would certainly like RJJ to get his ass beat, so yea, I'd like to watch him fight Hopkins.

I say he should fight Roy, and retire. He should stay away from Calzaghe and Kessler.

it would be a bad fight for roy at this stage of the game

It's a damn shame Bernard won't just accept the 50/50 split for the chance to get in there and take Roy to the yard. Roy, then the winner of Calzaghe - Kessler. At 43.

I think this would be, by FAR, his best course of action. It's really the only fight that makes sense for both guys. I give Jones a shot, but not much of one.

the winner can take on the calzaghe-kessler winner next year.

Roy looked a lot fresher in his last fight than B-Hop did tonight (notwithstanding his legs, which looked equally shot). Of course, Roy has to step up from ESPN level fighters before we really know what is left in the tank. At this stage of either of their careers, though, I don't know what it would prove. If they both insist on fighting, I'd like to see them try to finish their careers against someone in their primes as opposed to super-fights with similarly situated guys on the tail end of the hill.

Roy still has his handspeed and power so if his stamina holds up it can still be an interesting fight which really needs to happen. It will be a big fight between two big names and who knows maybe Roy has B-Hop's number due to style conflicts.

This is the only fight I can really say I want B-Hop to make. I don't care about Calzaghe, I just want to see him be able to fight RJJ again.

This fight makes the most sense for Hopkins' final fight.
Indeed :good

I give RJJ a chance in this fight, only because Benard is NOT a pressure fighter, In the center of the ring Bernard cannot beat roy, I've never seen Roy get beat in the center of the ring including Tarver and Johnson. I just dont think Bernard has the punch output, power or the ability to bully Roy into the ropes and let his hands go. If he stands in the center with Roy he'll get potshotted all night. I say this is Roys best chance to get a belt. And if there's one fight out there that Roy would "get up" for and be prepared to the max it would be Hopkins cause these two guys do not like each other

Maybe a first ever wheel chair match, still giving Roy the advantage with handspeed bein the difference

I think RJJ vs B-Hop is the only real meaningful fight left.
Hop's called out Calzaghe but I'm with Steward on that one, Hop's should re-think it and challenge RJJ now that his "confidence" is back from beating hanshaw:good

The fight would be a Lose/Lose situation for Bhops if he wins he won't get much credit but if he loses Roy will get alot of credit

I have to admit. I'd actually be very intrigued to see this fight come off. I'd even make Jones favourite for it.
