It is alot, but I guess if you favor Hop in the close rounds it could happen

It took me only 4 rounds to stop scoring I felt it was a bit of a boring fight, the atmosphere just wasn't there, nonetheless it felt like Bernard won,as dirty as it was.

May not have been non-stop action but for two fighters like WW and BHop I thought it was a good fight and its amazing to see Hopkins still go, I mean don't forget what Winky has done....Despite the screen name there is no doubt in my mind that if Hopkins gets that first decision against Taylor as he should of, then goes through Tarver and Wright he would be P4P #1 (forget the second Taylor fight because if he gets the first he prolly doesn't rematch him)

115-113 for hopkins. winky shouldn't have took this fight, the extra weight made him look dead tired in the last 3 or 4 rounds.

I had it a draw. I think a lot of the reasoning behind saying Hopkins won clearly, is how strong he finished. If you watch the first 9 rounds, Wright clearly wins at least 5. Sadly, he got destroyed towards the end, and I think that effected judges scoring cards.

Judges are too fickle. It's like Leonard finishing each round strong aghainst Hagler and winning, despite being the inferior man for 2:00. Wright won 6 rounds, but because he finished poorly, Hopkisn got the easy win.

If I had to choose a winner though, I'd go with Hopkins, but I honestly think it was 6-6. Too many of the rounds Hopkins won were indecisive.

116-112 B-Hop. I could have seen it scored a little closer, however, depending on what the judge was looking for. It was pretty ugly.

116-112 for B-Hop.

And for those of you saying that the fight was boring....come on. It was more exciting than I expected, and I was pleased as punch with the card as a whole. The two undercard fights were awesome. If you're bitching about how boring the main event was, why did you buy it and what the fuck did you expect?

Not really. I've seen plenty of 8-4 scores. Since many of the rounds were closely fought a 9-3 card isn't out of the question. Did you think that Winky won 5 rounds indisputably in a manner beyond argument? If not, then a few close rounds going the other way isn't that out of the ordinary.

What up with Lederman?

If there was a clear round that Winky won, I'd like to hear which one so that I can go back and rewatch the round.....

I'll say without hesitation that in a match that did'nt have a single round clearly dominated by either fighter, Bernard Hopkins was doing all the intangibles to merit him deserving each round.

Thats right, my scorecard had Hopkins sweeping every round.
I was wondering in beffudlement on how Harold Lederman and the HBO crew were broadcasting a close contest.

In boxing, as long as the fight is somewhat competitive, a judge will usually give out a few pity rounds.
I did'nt do that and had a 120-108 score.

Hopkins did one major thing to neutralize Winky, and that is that he took away his best weapon, the jab.
Hopkins backed away and lateraled around Winky to avoid Winky establishing that jab.
When Hopkins commited to punch, he let loose, and tied up in close.
When up in close, Hopkins would win the battle of getting in shots with the loose hand.

Rarely did either fighter land clearly and cleanly, but I could probably count in one hand the clear clean shots landed by Winky in the fight.
Hopkins was avoiding or finding a way to smother just about every shot Winky threw....
Winky was lost, he was pawing out the jab as if he was in a pitch dark room tring to find his way out to light.......
.......in the process, Hopkins would pot shot with the right hand, and find cracks up close to sneak and land some good hard shots to both Winky's head and body.

I knew from that start that it would be one of those fights that I'd have to pay extra attention to score......and I did, and scored it 12-0 Bernard Hopkins.

I know I'll get some flak for a shoutout score, but tell me which round Winky clearly won so that I can go back and watch that or those particular rounds?

I'll state once again, I score each round individually and dont give out pity rounds!!!

No judge gives "pity" rounds. The suggestion is ludicrous. There are plenty of 120-108 unaninimous fights around.

There are....but as I stated, there was'nt any rounds clearly dominated by either fighter, and although I gave Hopkins every round....he clearly was working hard for each round.
I thought the fight was physically taxing on both fighters.

Just competitive enough that rarely will you find a judge score a shutout, figuring this round is close enough that I'll turn to the other fighter.

120-108 scores are common in Calzaghe-Lacy type fights.....a fight clearly one sided and dominated by one fighter.
That was'nt the case here.

The fight became just what I expected in terms of entertainment...

Here´s my card:

1: Hop
2:WW
3:WW
4:Hop
5:Hop
6:Hop
7:WW
8:WW
9:WW
10:Hop
11:Hop
12:Hop

115-113 Bernard Hopkins who took away WW´s jab and got the best out of most trades.

Pretty even rounds at most times, as expected.

I think it was a good fight, didn´t expect anything else...not another result, neither another winner.

117-111, 10 rounds to 2 Bernard Hopkins... Bernard's style is hard to judge because of the way he punches. Bernard's work was done mostly inside and his punches are so short, and he moves his body with them so well (so as to leave as little room for counters possible) that often the punches will be hard to see. For effective punching, superior defense and ring generalship, Bernard Hopkins.
