I just had an idea
I am writing down two and three punch combos to do punching drills on tonite
last nite I had noticed that sometimes after throwing a few combos or jabbing and stepping from the dummy, I was having very pregnant pauses, the kind of pauses that get you put on your ass when you are in there with someone who has arms
so my solution is this, to get these combos, and practice them in the mirror
each combo twenty times and repeat the whole sheet 5
it is not shadowboxing because in shadow boxing you are pretending to have an opponent
I think these drillsare going to help me with techine and also make my punching more smooth
anybody else do this or does anybody see a flaw in this or have any other suggestions for getting a good smooth flow going

Messer, uh look, this is the training forum, so call out/trash talk posts would probably be more suited to the lounge
there has already been a complaint today about this section going downhill, and I want to be part of the solution, not part of the problem;so lets keep on topic in this seciton

btw my vid will be up sometime tomorrow or over the weekend

Jab-straight right (1-2)
Jab-straight right-left hook (1-2-3)
Straight right-left hook-straight right (2-3-2)
Jab-straight right-jab (1-2-1)

Uhhh... dunno, be creative. The possibilities are numerous.

btw yall
here are the 5 drills I did
did each 10 times

key
1=jab
2=straight right
3=left hook
4.right uppercut
5.right body shot
6.left uppercut

1. 1-2
2.1-2-3
3.1-3-4
4.3-4
5.1-3-2

basically what I am trying to achive by doing this is a little more rythyum and smoothness in my shadowboxing, dummy work and sparring

update: I found a cornerman and will get to go out of town for a week before the fight for training and full contact sparring

PS.........the thing about these lil punching drills is I can just practice them whenever I am restless and jonesesnin for a kool
oh yeah I quit today

Drills are best done with a coach or a training partner. If that is not possible then you have to do something else. A lot can be learned by running these drills through your mind when you are shadow boxing.
