i agree. But he'll never be accepted by the boxing community because he was never a boxer himself - guys like manny steward dont like these 'family' trainers

Who cares, we all know who the top dogs are. Let the whiners bitch and moan.

The WBO named him trainer of the year last year I think.

Why does Enzo have to slap fighters in the face all the time? If he did that to me after I had just been taking punches for a full round, I would knock him spark out.

Then I would quickly hide from his son

calzaghe lost his shot of olympic gold in 1992 because he refused to ditch enzo as his trainer who the welsh aba refused to sanction and refused to send calzaghe to the qualifying tournament despite calzaghe being the only amatuer european champ.

since calzaghe stopped the silver medalist chris byrd a few months after the olympics in i think both there last fights as amatuers there is a very good chance he would have beaten the cuban and won gold.

I'll definately give Enzo credit for knowing how to jeer up his fighters. In the corner some of the things he was saying and the way he was going about it was very impressive especially compared to the efforts of mbayes corner.

But I also agree with the slapping comments too, there is a time and a place for that. Not after every round. The worst one was the Sprott slap couple weeks back. If Sprott wasnt such a pussy that night he might have smacked his trainer one back.

im sure Enzo knows how Gavin reacts better than we do. if he feels that a slap in the face is what it will take to get him to react in the right way then so be it.

Ronnie shields did it to Eubank all the time...

He is one of the best in the world at the moment.
He is such an emotional guy, after the opponent loses he's the first person to comiserate (sp?) them, like after Manfredo was outclassed, he was the first over there giving him a hug and trying to gee him up, classy fellow too

Good call.

Frank ****** gives him a night of boxing and his fighters win the whole lot.

He only has a few fighters in his stable, but now has multiple world champions.

Total tactical boxing genius.

Oh yeah, Enzo is a whirlwind of emotions. One minute he'll be calm and giving you instructions, then he gets angry, he'll even hit you and then he is all happy celebreating then he is comiserating.

Still, he is the best coach in Britain at the moment.

Billy Graham, Brendan Ingle etc all good but I think Enzo is the best at the mo.

His fighters always give him a shout out and say how good he has been for them.

How many losses have Enzos fighters had? Calzaghe ain't loss, nor has Rees, nor has Enzo, or his young prospects. Is Bradley Pryce shaming his camp? :D

I've gotta be honest Bradley Pryce is one of my favourites at the moment, he aint that skilled, he got the greatest beard in the world, but hey he makes up for it in heart and desire to win

He knocked Chris Eubanks out and buried him under the ring.

Rees said after the fight with M'Baye that it would be 4 world champions in Enzo's stable soon, and said Bradley Pryce would be next. I can see him getting a shot at a world title actually.

Good work by Enzo though, he knows his stuff.
