On June the 3rd Hugo Garay will clash with Yuri Barashian in Garay's backyard in Argentine for the vacant light heavy weight title.
Who will win the belt? The tough Argie with his high workrate and warrior's mentality or the hard-punching former kickbox champ from the Ukraine?
I guess that it will be tough to capture the belt on Garay ' s home turf by point decision-especially in a close fight, but Barashian has proved that he can bang a bit,and Garay can be hurt as could be seen against Lakatos.
Your thoughts?

By the way on the undercard former world champ Hector Velazco will square off against Gusmyl Perdomo.Very interesting fight, too!

A very good scrap imo.

I favour Garay due to the hometown advantage but Barashian has a very good shot at the upset.

Problem is Garay has a good chin and if it goes the distance, I don't see the Argie judges doing Barashian any favours.

According to the news Barashian lost a one-sided fight to the hometown boy Garay.Would like to watch the fight with my own eyes!
According to our fellow poster scropy Barashian won 11 out of 12 rounds. The Ukranian managed to hurt Garay in round 10,but the Argie was able to recover pretty fast.

I would certainly pay some good bucks to watch a third encounter between Erdei and Garay. Both their first and their second encounter were close and.............entertaining fights.

Someone saw the fight and said that Barashian won 11 rounds to 1, but was robbed?

If so, what a travesty.

Sorry, axe! My mistake! It was the other way round. Garay won 11 out of 12 rounds. No robbery according to our fellow poster scropy.

Thanks mate! I read his review. Apparently Barashian hurt garay but was otherwise too KO hungry and was outworked.

Here is a good thread. Barashian apparently won some rounds after the halfway point of the fight, but it was a clear win for Garay...though he never hurt Barashian through the whole fight.

Axe, Lubos Suda from the Czech Republic is scheduled to take on Garay next!
He will fight him in Brno's Laser Show Hall in the Czech Republic on july the 29th.
Well, this Garay has a more limited record than the Garay who beat Barashian.
Juan Garay from Argentina has 13 victories and 7 losses.
Must be Hugo's brother!!!:D
