Its so close, I would not want to guess. I would say Akinwande is last. Maybe Smith would be first.

I would put them in this order
1. McCall- has knockouts over good fighters like Awkinwande and Maskaev, and a knockout over a great like Lewis, his overhand right could end a fight in a heartbeat.

2. Douglas- his knockout over a prime Tyson alone helps to rank him high, but he also had power in both hands with an 80' plus inch reach.

3. Bone Crusher- One of the heavyhitters of the 80's, didnt mind standing in there to take a punch to give one.

4. Rahman- His overhand right can be nightmare for anyone, Lewis, Meehan, and even Corrie Sanders were all victims too it. I would also like to point out during his second fight with Tua he hurt him with a punch after the bell.

5. Awkinwande- Not known as a huge puncher, but solid none the less. I dont too much about him, other than his fights with Lewis and McCall.

Smith- The one thing Smith could do is hit hard.

Hassim Rahman- Lewis and Sanders found out first hand. Tua was dropped as well.

McCall- has to be able to do something besides take a punch.

Douglas- Real crisp puncher

Akinwande- Is right there with Douglas

actually putting smith up there as the hardest puncher makes alot of sense, i think marvis frazier or jose ribalta said that smith hits harder then tyson and tyson has to hit at least as hard as any of the other 4.

Unforgiven

1.Bonecrusher Smith (possibly the hardest puncher of the 80s)
2. Oliver McCall

3. Douglas, Rahman and Akinwande
