because hs knows he will lose. So, what will Valouev do to get his title back? How? Chagaev will not get into the ring with him again if he can get out of it. Valouev should be allowed to fight for the title, then when Chagaev gets well, they can fight a rematch. Valouev will win, no doubt within my mind.

I feel sorry for Valouev, he trained so very hard, only to be disappointed once again. Damn, I wanted that fight to happen, but....................

Yeah i feel sorry for the guy aswell.
But he will get the WBA heavyweight belt back now thats stripped from Chagaev.

Ruiz should be easy..

Let's hope so. I remember when Valoeuv was only making $2,000 per fight. He trains so very hard. I wish him luck. Time is not on his side, he is getting old.

I like Chag, but he needs to understand that he cannot hold the belt hostage.

If he really is repeatedly being injured/sick, then let him take a year off to get healthy.

I too think that Valuev would win a rematch with Chagaev, but I don't believe that Chagaev doesn't want to fight him/is ducking him.
Why? The fight was well on its way, so Chagaev was willing to fight Valuev - it's just that he got injured again. And his injury is not faked, it's proven that he tore his Achilles tendon.
I don't like Chagaev, but the allegation that he doesn't want to fight Valuev is simply without any foundation.

I had it 8-4 for Chagaev, but 7-5 for Chagaev is doable as well.

Valuev was too slow. Chagaev used defense, counter punching and hand speed to win. It was really a good performance by Chagaev.

Chagaev also beat Ruiz convincingly too.

Its a pity he can't stay healthy. Chagaev will have to step asside for now.

lol, chagaev is afraid of valuev. umm i dont think so, the first fight was close but chags did edge it out imo... if im not mistaken chags was never even hurt once in that fight, so how in the world is he ducking valuev??? unfortunately chags is gonna end up bein one of those guys that we all say "if this guy wasnt injured so much, how far could he have gotten".

I have been a fan of Chagaev for years, but lately I have been wondering. Valouev has improved a lot since he fought Chagaev and the first fight was close.

I sure hope they can fight ASAP, but it looks like Valouev will have to wrestle Ruiz again first.

Remember one think boxing fans, when somebody can do one time he can repeat every time but Chagaev is sick and he cant fight property. He does right think, he coudent also with Skelton. He thinking to retired if he cant be better. The health is first on life :good

the wba was correct in stripping chagaev. they really didnt have to give him a madatory shot at the winner...he's lucky he got that. injuries/illness aside, chagaev has been one of the worst beltholders in hw history. if he comes back, his mobility will be limited by the acl injury. that's something u rarely see athletes fully recover from.

he pulled out of his fight with sultan....he had his chance to fight wlad later, he declined and iggy took it. that's what ill remember chagaev

after his performance with skelton, its hard to say that he will win over valuev.

I know its hard for some people to understand, but the human body does get injured sometimes.

Chagaev has gone down hill since winning the title. I just hope the rematch will happen one day.

if chagaev is in good shape,he will beat valuev again although valuev has improved well with his new coach.

but styles makes fights and i believe chagaev will change his tactics and surprise valuev
