i think most people are aware of this fact, indeed jones beat hopkins, but jones will never be a complete fighter as bernard no way, as jones aged his skills faded away, he's not half the fighter he once was, in my opinion Hopkins should be rated above jones as the best fighter of the last 2 decades.

So you think Hopkins is better alltime because he's better then Jones was post-prime? I'm sorry, but I rate a fighter based on how good they were in their prime. Lots of fighters have gone downhill once their reflexes started to fade( look at Sugar Ray Leneord ). Why should Jones be held to tougher standards? In his prime, Jones was too good for his own good and now that fact appears to be haunting him.....People hate the guy because he was so damn good.

Sure, an aged Hopkins is better then a washed-up Jones....but who cares. When you look back at a fighter( legacy etc. ) you look at their prime years. Prime Jones is clearly better then Prime Hopkins.

When you look back at a fighter you lookk at the total career. Hopkins is beating guys considered to be the best in the sport. He beat Tarver the lineal lightheavyweight champion at 41 and then he beat Wright at 42. Hopkins has the second longest uninterrupted title reign in history, second only to Joe Louis... He has the career defense record at middleweight. Jones has a heavyweight win over Ruiz, but he was KO'd in succession by guys given little credit by many in Tarver and Johnson. These guys are regarded as being not on Jones level yet they both KO him consecutively. This is not in the equation of HOPkins career. Hopkins is the Greater fighter with greater accomplishments. He will go down a legend...Roy is struggling to maintain his anity- his legacy tainted by two vivid consecutive KO losses
