Barnett may be coming back to the UFC?

The following is a new blog message posted by Josh Barnett on his official MySpace page:

"First off. I am not f***ing retiring. It was a lame attempt at an April Fools joke and even lamer that people didn't check the source (Here or my homepage). I am here to stay, merger or not."

Dana White mentioned during the UFC conference call (download the audio here) ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) that despite rumors from Barnett (which were apparently untrue according to his message above) he still wants to have "The Babyface Assassin" fight for him.

Cool. He was on the Jordan Breen show the other day, and hinted at the fact that the UFC is the only company "that can afford the Babyface Assassin for a long term deal". I'd love to see him back. Settling the Nog-Barnett series once and for all should be exciting.

I like Barnett, he seems like a really cool guy.
I'd love to see him fight Fedor.

Settling the Nog-Barnett series once and for all should be exciting.All the fighters rightly want there dues and right now the UFC is the only org that can do that.It certainly would make the heavyweight division more interesting if Barnett comes on board.Plus if they can aquire Fedor aswell the orginal big 4 are now all in the UFC.
