Murray hasn't exactly looked outstanding recently, against lesser fighters than Meager. Either way, this is going to be a war, and although I'd expect Murray is the betting favourite Meager is a live body here.

Meager is the mandatory anyway.

Did get me thinking what two better fighters at Lightweight could realistically challenge for it - Thaxtons vacated, Khan withdrew as mandatory, Fewkes pulled out of his English Title fight recently so I think it would have been a bit harsh to give him the nod ahead of Murray, there is Limond but think he has only had one fight since losing to Khan a year ago now.

All in all I think Meager v Murray is a decent enough match up for the Title.

I agree about Romanov but not Thaxton, Thaxton Is too shot and had problems reaching In enough with his shots and will get badly owned by the Spanish guy In his next fight.
