germanys 100 year talent (as his promoter billed him) is now the mandatory challenger for garay.
brahmer imo has been somewhat found out lately. he is an impressive offensive fighter, but his defense and chin are questionable.
so can brahmer do it???
personally, i have him a clear underdog vs garay.

A few years ago I wouldnt have bet a single coin on Garay against Braehmer, but today's version of Braehmer seems to be a totally different one .
I,too, favour Garay over Braehmer. Why? Because Garay has shown his grits and teeth against tough and dangerous opposition. He still has the desire to win his fights. As for Braehmer he used to fight aggressively and mercilessly going for the kill as soon as he entered a ring. Today's version very often tends to be lethargic and passive showing no real desire to hurt his foe losing rounds due to inactivity.Boxing is a mind game. Braehmer has lost his drive and desire. The talent, skills, and the punch is still there, but ...........where is his desire??

i have to disagree with you.....well, kind of.
brahmer was awesome early on, sure. merciless, always going for the kill.
but look at the comp he was gunning down: clubfighters and bums.
once the people started hitting back............suddenly brahmer changes his attitude.
i dont think he lost his desire. i just think he doesnt like being hit back. look at how his legs went when light hitting mario veit tagged him.

Braehmer vs Veit??? Braehmer almost knocked his foe out in the very first round. Veit was a quite harmless opponent within the first few rounds.Nevertheless Braehmer didnt go for the kill.Acutally,he didnt show any form of aggressiveness at all.He would have killed Veit if he had fought him before he was encarcerated a few years ago.
Obviously,he attended too many peacemaker courses behind prison bars.:D
A good scrap, though it definitely isn't worthy of a title. However, that makes the stakes all the bigger.
I hope Braehmer wins but IMO his prison stint took it out of him as a fighter. Garay by close decision.

have I missed something? I thought Brähmer is Super Middleweight and Garay is Light Heavyweight. That does not sound good.
brahmer has moved up.

Could really go either way,eh!
Their encounter is scheduled to take place in Dresden,Germany, octubre the 18th. Dzindziruk vs Julio will be the co-headliner.

First of all, I dont think that Brähmer deserves this title fight. He moved up in weight and I dont know how many fights he had in this division. But this is again a good example for what a powerful promoter is good for.
I for my part hope that Garay will score the victory. I favour Garay over Brähmer because Garay puts lots of prssure on his oponents and Brähmer cant handle that that much. If Velasco could rock Brähmer Garay can do too. I dont think that Brähmer is that much of a pressure fighter as Odo makes him of. The opposition he faced was not all quality stuff. Guys who were physically or skillwise not in his league. Easy to push them around.
When ever Brähmer faced someone with guts he got in trouble. Velasco or Thysse ( Thysse opened my eyes regarding Brähmer) gave Brähmer really a run for his money.
On the other hand, I think that Brähmer still has a good chance to beat Garay. As I said, I dont think Brähmer is that much of a pressure fighter. He is a southpaw, and fights a typically southpaw style. He lures his oponnents to throw their straight right and counters them with his razor sharp left. This is his best shot. As the coming forward fighter Garay is, he will open up and I see really a good chance for Brähmer to counter him with is sunday shot.
I wouldnt be worried about Brähmers motivation. If he has no "desire " in this world title fight, then the guy cant be helped anyway. I am really looking forward to this one.

Brähmer - so much wasted talent. Brähmer could actually have been a poor mans version of Roy Jones, and I mean this in a very positive sense, because not many fighters are talented enough to even become a poor mans version of Roy Jones...
Brähmer is indeed very talented, but he lacks determination and focus. He's simply not a champ, compared to f.example fighters like Arthur Abraham, who are less talented but have that champion mentality that makes them give their best in the ring and in training. Brähmer lacks that champ mentality, that's why he will never be as successfull as he could have been...

Is it to late for Brahmer?? At this weight I think things will be harder.
I dont think he has come close to regaining his 2000-2001 form, which was pretty impressive.
Very very interested to see how this fight pans out. I reckon Brahmer takes a few early rounds, then gets proper outworked late in the fight. Possible late stoppage for Garay, who is a bit of a beast.

So is Garay a good fighter?
Would he have defeated Danny Green?
Also does Brahamer have alot of talent?
Thanks im interested to hear about these fighters.

Braehmer used to be one of the most promising talents out there a couple of years ago.
According to the news Braehmer once again seems to have some problems with the law so that his career may soon be over. I very much hope that he will somehow avoid being behind prison bars once again!
Garay? Have you ever seen Firat Arslan in the ring either live or on tv??
Garay has a simlar style.
Danny Green vs Garay`? The present version of Green or the version of Green a few years ago?

Ok thanks for the news Odo.
Yeah i had heard Braemer was in trouble with the law in the past.
I have seen a little bit of Arslan, have read abit of him too.
Didnt Garay have some close battle with him?
Yeah the current version of Green , when he pulled out of the fight with Garay.
He saidi n an interview that Garay was made to order for him, but imo i think it was a dog act.

I have only seen Garay in his fights with Erdei so my impressionen are a bit faded. I think u are right in saying that he puts a lot of pressure on his opponents and wears them down. On the other side he isnt as stiff as Arslan. More versatile in his punches and simply is technical more sound like Arslan. Even though I respect Arslan as a great sportsman and appreciate his dedication to boxing, seeing him fighting is kinda pain in the ass. Garay is much more fun to watch.

it's an interesting match up... Garay throws lots of punches and Braehmer is a counter-puncher... I think Garay will win a close fight but he's gonna have to fight his best from the start and work the body to be able to overwhelm Braehmer in the last rounds.
