According to FWs website, McIntyre has officially been made mandatory challenger for his old (rightful) belt. Purse bids in August.

Tony Doherty - Mark Thompson and Young Muttley - John O Donnell will fight eliminators towards deciding the next mandatory.

He should be the holder going into the fight, but at least we should be able to see who the true Champion is now.

I hope Mcintyre does Brooke in, i used to like him but he came across as a right little knob!

about time. so what happens if mcintyre beats brook but then loses after that thus onlyh aving 2 defences? how much of a shamewould it be if he didnt win it outright because of politics and FW being a total wanker???

lets hope he doesn't get injured again approaching the fight....he'll probably end up losing his mandatory status and they'll give it to doherty or someone.

McIntyre deserves a direct shot but I can not see this happening too soon. The other eliminators look pretty good and I would love to see them all fight one card.
