Tommorow night, I'm going for Meager on pts.

murray only seems to fight badly against opponents he should beat handily.

i think he'll raise his game and pull off a points win.

I'll go safe and pick Murray decision, closeish

Meager is probably good value though.

and I'm going with meager.

No disrespect to Meager but I'm going for Murray by stoppage.

Hope its a good fight!

This is a real 50-50 fight, Meager was schooled by Thaxton, but Murray has done nothing decent for a couple of years - the padded record should fool nobody!

I think Fewkes would school the pair of them :deal

I really dont get what people see in Murray.

Me neither Rob - apparently he is a Hatton clone.

As in what?

Leaky defence and coming forward?

Seriously Khan would destroy him. I think Meager is under rated also.

Murray nicks a close one... Slightly more versatile but needs a great performance to prove he belongs in with Khan.

Hopefully it will be a competitive fight.

Think its a little harsh to suggest Murray has done nothing decent the last couple of years - I was impressed by his performance against Light Welterweight Dean Hickman for the English Title in Nov.

IF he can pick up the British Belt against Meager that will be two Titles won against decent (my opinion) opponents in 8 months.

The Dean Hickman performance was pretty good - I stand corrected. But other than that, you must surely agree that there has been very little of anything from Murray other than poor shows and trash talk for quite a while now (typical Hennessy fighter really).

If he gives Meager a beating, I would be the first to stand up and say well done, but feel he is some way behind the leading 135lb'ers at domestic level (Khan, Thaxton and Fewkes).

I hope Murray raises his game and shows himself to be a good prospect again but I will not be surprised if Meager shows some courage and gains a late stoppage win. My pick for the fight will be a close points win for Murray in a bore.

To be honest, I've questioned some of Murrays recent performances myself.

Think the pressure is certainly on for him to produce tonight.

About Hennessy - for me it doesn't really matter what promoter a boxer is with in terms of how I rate a fighter.

In fairness I haven't seen much trash talk from Murray in relation to opponents he has been due to face recently, i.e, Meager & Fewkes.

Might be easier to assess our domestic Lightweights if they actually faced eachother - disappointing Khan withdrew from fighting Thaxton and Fewkes pulled out on Murray late notice....

Yeah totally agree - it really pisses me off that fighters and promoters avoid doing business. Surely you would rather get the better of someone who could be considered your rival, and lose at that stage than take a career ending beating once the smoke and mirrors effect of your padded record wears off.

finding this a tough one to pick. murray has looked terrible when ive seen him lately, but clearly must be something about him for people to rate him. but going on what ive seen, the odds on meager do seem tempting. especially meager by decision. certainly see this going the distance. meager got schooled by thaxton, yet still lasted the 12.

there's no arguing with murray's credentials after a performance like that

I don't think Khan will be going for the British title any time soon!
