Pavlik is young and aggresive but he doesn't have Winky's defense and I certainly wouldn't put him better than Tarver in terms of skills. If Bhops was able to sneak in some good solid blows despite Winky's defense, how hard would it be for BHop to tag Pavlik?

Maybe with a time machine you could take a more seasoned, grizzled, and learned best-case-scenario future Pavlik and put him in the ring with a Hops of the same age and maybe have it be competitive. But Pavlik has a ways to go before he's that good, and by the time that happens Bernard's body will have already retired him for good. :good
