No way is that going to happen considering Mundine is 32 and knowing the competition he regularly faces. Basically short of a flat out miracle it will never happen. Sorry to shatter your dreams.

If he beat JC and Kessler he could become the best SMW, and would be in the p4p top ten with those 2 victories under his belt, probably around number 7-8. If that is any consilation at all. He is just too old to really have that sort of potential in him.

He has zero head movement, has shotty footwork, his speed is quite overrated and he lacks a standardised defence except for the ability to pop in and out, a good fighter would send counter down the pipe everytime.

He also doesn't keep his chin tucked, he's an embarassment considering how much they have pushed him.

I will go download some more recent footage to have a better look. His footwork seemed off balance at times when I watched him as well. His speed was blinding though. Be interested to see whats happened to him.

It is still in the realm of possibility. If he beat JC and Kessler it would leave him around 7-8 on the p4p list, as both guys are very well regarded at the moment. However that is a very big IF.

Yeah too right. I think the main culprits Choc #1 and Boxa 112 have now been banned though judging by their recent inactivity. Has anyone else noticed that the newbies always come sporting Mundine avatarts, talk heaps of rubbish for a couple weeks and then never return. Seems a bit odd.

People can post what they want, but there are rules to the site as well. I don't have a problem with people saying something once in a while to stir someone up, but guys like Boxa was posting thread after thread in the british forum trying to start trouble, then going to the general and doing the same thing. If you get a few idiots doing this then it ruins the site for everyone else who has to put up with the constant stupidity.

Nah mate they were most probably banned. ESB don't tolerate crap from newbies, particulary people who troll and start threads abusing fighters or trying to get a reaction out of people for the sake of it. Apparently someone said boxah got banned for some comments about JC. Boxah is usually a solid poster, with close to 1000 posts too I think which gives you an idea of their attitude towards bad conduct. It is good too because other wise the forum would just turn to sh#t.

I agree with what you are saying though. As a world champion you don't take easy fights. That said judging by Mundines prior history I believe that he waiting for a big fight, and that is why he doesn't want to risk it now for a lesser pay day. Still it would be nice to see him have a bit more confidence in his abilities.

I think it is ok that Mundine fights some easier fights in between. The real issue is that those "easier fights" are real stinkers! Even worse that Calzaghe's "easier opponents".

I would like to see Mundine take on Sergei Tseovysan, Velasco, Veit, Markussen, Mock, Gogiya etc. These are all top 20-40 in the world and Mundine should easily beat anyone of them. But at least it would still have a little value.

And after that he need to see Mundine take on the big guys like Bute, Braehmer, Inkin, Andrade, Lacy, Bika (yeah... I include him although borderline), Larsen (probably, let's see..), Berrio etc.

The real problem is not the easy fights - it is the ridiculous level of those fights. He seems to find fighters that noone had ever heard about before.
